Why do Shopify stores look for Flyweight alternatives?

Credit first. Flyweight turns your products, pages, articles and policies into a Knowledge Graph, refreshes it daily, and answers shoppers in 100+ languages. It can track orders, cancel after the customer confirms, and change the shipping address on unfulfilled orders, with an optional Shopify Flow step so a person approves first. Merchants on its listing mostly praise how it handles spec-heavy catalogs, and none of the 121 reviews is below three stars. I scored it 4 out of 5 in my Flyweight review.

Flyweight AI homepage with the headline The AI chatbot for Shopify that sells, supports and gets things done, a store URL field with a Check Your AI Potential button, and a sample chat where a brand specialist matches a parts list to the catalog, as taken from Flyweight

The reasons people shop around are specific, and most sit outside the storefront chat.

1. You can't price it from the outside. The Flyweight pricing page shows one plan, AI Unlimited, "A quote for your store". Smaller plans named AI Core, AI Pro and AI Leader exist, but their prices only appear in the app. The pricing model has also moved from traffic to AI interactions to quotes in about a year, so older reviews describe plans that no longer exist.

2. The helpdesk side drafts, it doesn't send. Ticket AI is a browser extension that writes replies inside Gorgias, Zendesk, Freshdesk and others. Flyweight's Ticket AI page is clear about it: "There is no auto-send." It's also in beta, rolling out on AI Pro and AI Leader first. A draft speeds up a person, but the ticket still waits for one.

3. Some channels aren't live yet. Instagram is included, while WhatsApp and Messenger are marked "rolling out" on the pricing page.

4. Live chat runs in Flyweight's own inbox. Human takeovers are free and unlimited, which is generous, but they happen in Flyweight's inbox rather than the helpdesk where your team already works.

5. Past tickets aren't a training source. The AI learns from store content, a Zendesk Help Center, AI-only metafields and order notes. One Latvian merchant asked to "upload conversations for training since my products are kinda tricky" (Vanagon Maniac).

None of these is a flaw in the chat itself. They're signs your support has outgrown a storefront tool, and that's a different shopping list.

How I picked these alternatives

I'm Rama, and I build eesel's integrations, including the Shopify and helpdesk connectors. So when a vendor says its AI "handles returns", my first question is boring and specific: does it call the Shopify API and change something, or does it write a polite reply explaining your return policy? Both get counted as "handled" in a lot of dashboards.

That distinction matters because of what fills a store's queue. A multi-brand ecommerce operator handling 500+ tickets a day told eesel's team that refund requests, unsubscribes and order tracking dominate their volume. Two of those three need an action, not an answer.

Before writing, I asked ChatGPT the question a store owner would ask: "I run a Shopify store and use Flyweight as the AI agent for customer support. What other AI support tools should I look at that can handle more customer questions on their own?" It shortlisted Gorgias, Yuma AI, Siena AI, Tidio's Lyro and Manifest AI, and its advice was to look for AI that can "complete an action like initiating a return" rather than explain the policy. That shortlist is the core of mine. I added Richpanel, which ChatGPT has named for order changes on similar questions, and eesel for stores whose pain is the helpdesk queue.

Every price below comes from the vendor's own pricing page or Shopify listing, checked on 22 October 2026. If you want the wider field first, my roundups of the best AI for Shopify customer support and the best AI for ecommerce support cover more tools.

Answering questions vs changing orders

This is the one idea I'd hold onto while you compare. Every tool on this list answers questions. They split on how far up this ladder they go, and where.

Hand-drawn staircase titled What the AI actually does, with four steps rising left to right: Answers the question, Drafts a reply for a person, Looks up the order, and Changes the order with a wrench icon, and a bracket above the top step listing refund, return and address edit
Hand-drawn staircase titled What the AI actually does, with four steps rising left to right: Answers the question, Drafts a reply for a person, Looks up the order, and Changes the order with a wrench icon, and a bracket above the top step listing refund, return and address edit

Flyweight goes high on the storefront: in chat it looks up orders and can cancel or change an address. In the helpdesk it sits on step 2, drafting for a person. So the useful question isn't "which tool is smarter?" but "where do my customers ask, and which step do I need there?"

  • If most questions arrive in website chat and they're about products, Flyweight is already good, and a switch should buy you something specific.
  • If most arrive by email, Instagram DM or in Gorgias, you want a tool that reaches step 3 or 4 inside the helpdesk. That's where WISMO automation and returns live.
  • If you want step 4, check the permissions model. The safer tools let lookups run on their own and make refunds wait for approval. My guide to AI refund automation for ecommerce covers how to set those limits.

What counts as a "resolution"?

Here's the part that trips up most comparisons. Vendors quote automation rates, and ChatGPT's own advice was not to trust them until you ask how a conversation is counted when a person takes over later. The billing unit tells you.

Hand-drawn list titled What counts as a resolution, matching each tool to its billing rule: Flyweight quote per store, Yuma no human touched it (circled), Gorgias each automated interaction, Siena each automated ticket plus platform fee, Richpanel each AI-resolved conversation, eesel each ticket or chat it works

Yuma's rule is the strictest: per its pricing page, "If a human touches the ticket, it doesn't count against your plan." Gorgias charges per automated interaction on top of the helpdesk ticket. Richpanel's AI agents page says a resolved conversation "is not billed again as a ticket". eesel takes the opposite approach: a credit is spent on every ticket or chat it works, whether it closes it or hands it to a person, so there's no argument about what counted. My post on deflection vs resolution rate explains why these numbers aren't interchangeable.

So compare on cost per resolved conversation. Here's a store with 2,000 conversations a month where the AI fully resolves half, using each vendor's list price:

ToolWhat you'd pay a monthCost per resolved conversationHelpdesk included?
Yuma (Starter, annual)$1,200 ($14,400 a year, 12,000 resolutions)About $1.20No
Gorgias (Pro with AI Agent)$550 plus 810 extra interactions at $0.90 = $1,279About $1.28Yes
Siena$750 plus 1,000 tickets at $0.90 = $1,650About $1.65No
Richpanel (annual AI rate)$200 for 1,000 resolutions plus 3 users at $89 = $467About $0.47Yes
eesel$849 for 2,000 credits (works every conversation)About $0.85No
Flyweight, Manifest AIQuoteUnknown until quotedFlyweight has its own inbox

Two caveats. Your real resolution rate will differ by tool, which changes every number here, and that's why the test further down matters more than this table. And Yuma's annual plans are paid upfront on a 12-month commitment. My guide to cost per resolution with and without AI shows how to add your team's time to the sum.

GorgiasFrom $90 with AI Agent (actions start on Basic)

A full Shopify helpdesk whose AI Agent cancels orders, applies discounts and starts returns, with skills you approve before they go live.

Richpanel$89 per user, $0.20 per AI resolution

An AI-first helpdesk that edits addresses, swaps items, issues store credit and pauses subscriptions, each with its own permission.

eesel$299 for 500 credits

An AI helpdesk teammate in Gorgias, Zendesk or Freshdesk that checks the Shopify order, replies or drafts, and hands money questions to a person.

Yuma AIFrom $850 a month on Shopify

Specialist agents on top of your helpdesk that close WISMO, returns and cancellations end to end.

Yuma AIAbout $1.20 per resolution on Starter

If a person touches the ticket, it isn't billed. Annual plans pause at the bundle limit instead of charging overage.

Siena AI$750 a month plus $0.90 per automated ticket

AI personas built on your tone and customer language, aimed at consumer brands with big queues.

TidioFree, Lyro from $39

Live chat, a light inbox and the Lyro AI agent from one vendor. Cheapest at a few hundred AI conversations a month.

Stay on FlyweightAsk for your quote in writing

If your chat is mostly product questions and Flyweight answers them well, a switch may cost more than it saves.

Manifest AIQuote on a demo

One agent trained once and deployed on your site, WhatsApp, Instagram DMs, voice and email, with order status and returns built in.

Flyweight's Ticket AI is in beta and drafts only. WhatsApp and Messenger are marked rolling out on its pricing page.

1. Gorgias

Best for: stores that want one helpdesk for every channel, with an AI that changes orders inside it.

Gorgias AI Agent skills list drafted by its assistant and waiting for review, with Where is my order and Change shipping address ready to review, Start a return needing a returns policy and Cancel an order handed to the team, next to a chat where the assistant offers to handle order status, as taken from the Gorgias listing

Gorgias is the default Shopify helpdesk, with 4.3 from 706 reviews on its Shopify listing. ChatGPT called it the best Shopify-native option for order and returns automation, with one warning: watch the helpdesk fees and the usage-based resolution charges.

What it does better than Flyweight

  • The AI and the team share one inbox. Email, chat, SMS, voice and social land in the same place, so a handoff keeps the full history.
  • Actions in the helpdesk, not just the chat. The pricing page lists actions such as cancel, discount and apply on Basic and up, and its AI can start returns and change shipping addresses.
  • You approve the skills. The screenshot above shows the AI drafting skills that wait for your review before they go live.

Where it falls short

  • Two meters on AI work: a resolved chat is a helpdesk ticket and an automated interaction.
  • Starter doesn't include actions or brand voice controls, so order changes start at the $90 Basic plan.
  • It's a helpdesk migration, not an add-on. If you're happy in Zendesk, that's a bigger move.

Pricing

PlanHelpdesk (monthly)Tickets includedWith AI Agent (monthly)Automated interactions includedExtra automated interaction
Starter$1050$4030$1.00

Pro$3602,000$550190$0.90
Advanced$9005,000$1,430530$0.85

Prices are from the Gorgias pricing page, with lower rates billed yearly. My Gorgias AI Agent pricing post covers the AI side in detail.

What merchants say

Shopify

"While the AI is not always fully accurate yet due to occasional hallucinations, we're hopeful ongoing improvements will help it provide accurate and helpful support the vast majority of the time."

My take: Pick Gorgias if your support has outgrown chat and you want order changes, returns and every channel in one place your future hires already know. Skip it if you only need a better storefront answer, where Flyweight is already strong. My Gorgias review and Gorgias alternatives cover the rest.

2. Yuma AI

Best for: DTC brands with a busy helpdesk that want to pay only for tickets the AI closes on its own.

Yuma's Shopify listing image headlined Automated support workflow building, where a merchant asks Ask Yuma to build an order tracking automation and Yuma lays out three flows: Order Tracking Automation, Returns and Exchanges Flow and VIP Escalation Workflow, as taken from the Yuma listing

Yuma AI puts specialist AI agents on top of your existing helpdesk. Its Shopify listing says it "takes real actions (refunds, cancellations, returns, subscription changes, etc) to close tickets autonomously", and it holds 5.0 from 9 reviews. ChatGPT picked it for automating the tickets already in your helpdesk.

What it does better than Flyweight

  • It works your existing ticket queue. Flyweight's helpdesk tool drafts for a person; Yuma is built to close the ticket.
  • Outcome billing with a strict definition. A full resolution is a ticket handled "with no human involved at any point", counted once per ticket.
  • Ask Yuma builds the workflows. You describe an automation in plain language and it drafts the flow, as in the listing image above.

Where it falls short

  • It's priced for volume. The smallest illustrative annual plan is $14,400 a year, paid upfront on a 12-month commitment.
  • It doesn't replace your helpdesk, so you keep paying for that too.
  • The Shopify listing names Gorgias and Klaviyo under works-with, so confirm support for your helpdesk on the demo.

Pricing

Plan (yuma.ai, illustrative)YearlyResolutions a yearAbout per resolution
Starter$14,40012,000$1.20
Growth$40,000About 48,000$0.83
Scale$90,000About 120,000$0.75

On monthly plans, extra full resolutions are $1.50 each; annual plans pause at the bundle limit with no overage, and there's no implementation fee. The Shopify listing shows Small Merchant at $850 a month and a second plan at $1,200, each with a package of automated tickets and a 14-day free trial.

Yuma's pricing page headlined You only pay when Yuma fully resolves a ticket, with an outcome-based pricing tag and a diagram where a where is my order ticket is billed as a full resolution while conversations, escalations and human replies are never billed, as taken from Yuma

What merchants say

Shopify

"Thanks to Yuma, we are closing 30% of our tickets without any human interaction, with 70% to 80% of customers satisfied."

That 30% is a useful reality check next to the 89% peak-season figure Yuma quotes for EvryJewels on its pricing page. Both can be true for different stores, which is the case for testing on your own tickets.

My take: Pick Yuma if you run thousands of helpdesk tickets a month, most of them WISMO, returns and cancellations, and you like paying only for the ones it closes alone. Skip it if you're under a few hundred tickets a month, where the annual minimum outweighs the savings. My Yuma AI pricing post and Gorgias AI vs Yuma AI comparison go deeper.

3. Siena AI

Best for: larger consumer brands where tone of voice is part of the product.

Siena's homepage headlined The AI CX operating system for consumer brands, with the line One intelligence layer powering agents across every customer surface, a Book a demo button, a Series A announcement banner and a row of customer logos, as taken from Siena
Siena's homepage headlined The AI CX operating system for consumer brands, with the line One intelligence layer powering agents across every customer surface, a Book a demo button, a Series A announcement banner and a row of customer logos, as taken from Siena

Siena AI calls itself "the AI CX operating system for consumer brands", with agents for support, shopping, social, QA and customer insight. ChatGPT picked it for brand voice and nuanced conversations, and its homepage leads with "AI Personas built on your tone, voice, and customer language".

What it does better than Flyweight

  • Brand voice is the main pitch. Personas are tuned per brand and per channel.
  • It works across your support stack. Siena says it's platform agnostic, so it can sit on the helpdesk you already have.
  • Insight from conversations. Ask Siena turns customer conversations into reports for product and retail teams.

Where it falls short

  • The $750 monthly platform fee comes before any ticket, so small stores pay a lot per conversation.
  • There's no Shopify App Store listing, so there are no merchant reviews there to compare.
  • Its pricing page is a quote form; the published parts are the platform fee and the per-ticket rate.

Pricing

ComponentPrice (per the Siena pricing page)
Platform fee$750 a month, core AI engine and unlimited sandbox
Automation pack$0.90 per automated ticket
Support and implementationOnboarding plus dedicated Slack support, quoted

My Siena AI pricing post shows how the platform fee spreads at different volumes.

What merchants say

"It handles 50% of our conversations at 90%+ CSAT, cut handle time in half, and customers ask for it by name."

Kylah Field, VP of Global CX and Insights at Spanx, quoted by Siena

This one is a testimonial on Siena's own site, so read it as the vendor's best case.

My take: Pick Siena if you're a well-known consumer brand with a big queue and the voice of every reply matters. Skip it if you're under roughly a thousand tickets a month, where the platform fee dominates. My Siena AI review and Siena AI vs Yuma AI comparison cover the trade-offs.

4. Tidio

Best for: small stores that want live chat, an AI agent and a light inbox on a small budget.

Tidio's Lyro AI agent on a product page for an Ice Shell jacket, comparing medium and large sizes in a table and recommending large for layering, with add to cart and size guide buttons, as taken from the Tidio listing
Tidio's Lyro AI agent on a product page for an Ice Shell jacket, comparing medium and large sizes in a table and recommending large for layering, with add to cart and size guide buttons, as taken from the Tidio listing

Tidio is the most-reviewed tool here, with 4.8 from 1,355 reviews on its Shopify listing. Its AI agent, Lyro, answers FAQs and order status questions in the shopper's language, recommends products and hands off to live chat. ChatGPT picked it for smaller stores on a budget.

What it does better than Flyweight

  • Prices you can see. Every plan is on the listing, so you can budget before a call.
  • A free plan with a real inbox. Live chat, ticketing and a mobile app are free, with email, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger in one place.
  • Native Shopify actions on the Lyro plan, plus Lyro Actions and MCPs.

Where it falls short

  • Lyro is a prepaid quota, and above 1,000 AI conversations a month it moves to a custom plan.
  • It does less on deep, spec-heavy catalogs than Flyweight's Knowledge Graph.
  • The helpdesk and the AI are priced separately, so the total depends on both.

Pricing

Plan (Shopify listing)MonthlyYearlyWhat it covers
Free$0n/aLive chat, ticketing, mobile app
Customer Service$29$290Help desk conversations
Flows$29$290Chatbot builder
Lyro AI Chatbot$39$390Up to 200 Lyro conversations, native Shopify actions

Higher Lyro tiers are on the Tidio pricing page. My Tidio AI pricing post covers the steps.

What merchants say

Shopify

"There is still room for improvement, particularly in making AI responses more flexible and improving customization options for automation."

Metrix Premium Chassis Parts, Shopify review

My take: Pick Tidio if you're under a few hundred AI conversations a month and want a price you can read today. Skip it if your catalog is technical enough that Flyweight's product answers are the reason you chose it. My Tidio review and Tidio alternatives go deeper.

5. Manifest AI

Best for: stores that want one product-discovery agent on the website, WhatsApp and Instagram.

The Manifest AI listing image headlined The chat on your site that knows your business, with a Solve Apparel chat answering Does this run true to size? and showing three product cards with sizes and add to cart buttons, as taken from the Manifest AI listing
The Manifest AI listing image headlined The chat on your site that knows your business, with a Solve Apparel chat answering Does this run true to size? and showing three product cards with sizes and add to cart buttons, as taken from the Manifest AI listing

Manifest AI was ChatGPT's pick for support plus product discovery. Its homepage describes one agent "trained once, deployed everywhere": website chat, WhatsApp, Instagram, voice calling and email. It holds 4.4 from 61 reviews on its Shopify listing.

What it does better than Flyweight

  • WhatsApp and Instagram today. Both are core channels, where Flyweight lists WhatsApp as rolling out.
  • Sales and support in one conversation. It resolves order status, returns, shipping and product questions, and hands the rest to your helpdesk "tagged with why it's being handed off".
  • Not Shopify-only. Manifest says catalog sync, stock queries and order handling work the same on other platforms.

Where it falls short

  • No public price. It's free to test on the listing, and paid plans are quoted on a demo, the same budgeting gap as Flyweight.
  • Reviews are uneven: of 61 ratings, 7 are one-star.
  • For deep technical catalogs, Flyweight's metafields and Knowledge Graph give you more control over what the AI knows.

Pricing

What merchants say

Shopify

"The chatbot integrates well and helps customers navigate products quickly, which improves the overall shopping experience."

My take: Pick Manifest AI if WhatsApp or Instagram selling is the gap Flyweight leaves. Get the price and onboarding plan in writing before you sign. My list of AI chatbots for Shopify has more multichannel options.

6. Richpanel

Best for: brands whose tickets are mostly "change my order", who want the AI to do it cheaply.

The Richpanel listing image headlined All Channels, Manage Email, Live Chat, Facebook, Instagram, Phone, SMS from one place, with an inbox showing channel counts and customer messages like where is my order and I want to cancel my order, as taken from the Richpanel listing
The Richpanel listing image headlined All Channels, Manage Email, Live Chat, Facebook, Instagram, Phone, SMS from one place, with an inbox showing channel counts and customer messages like where is my order and I want to cancel my order, as taken from the Richpanel listing

Richpanel is an AI-first Shopify helpdesk with 4.9 from 137 reviews on its Shopify listing. Its pitch is short: "It acts." Tracking, address edits, exchanges, store credit, subscription skips and pauses, cancellations and returns run against Shopify, Recharge, Loop and Skio.

What it does better than Flyweight

  • A permission per action. Its AI agents page says lookups run on their own while "a refund waits for approval".
  • A cheap AI meter. About $0.20 per AI-resolved conversation on the annual rate, and you choose the model.
  • It tests on your tickets first. Richpanel says a model runs on your own recent tickets before any customer sees a reply.

Where it falls short

  • Per-seat pricing: each user adds $89 a month on Pro, and the AI meter has a $200 monthly minimum.
  • It's a helpdesk migration, so you'd move off Gorgias or Zendesk.
  • It isn't built for storefront selling, which is Flyweight's strength.

Pricing

Plan (Shopify listing)Monthly per userAnnualAI conversationsNotable inclusions
Pro$89$828 a yearFrom $0.20 eachEmail, phone, chat, Facebook, Instagram
Pro Max$119$1,188 a yearFrom $0.20 eachAdds SMS, social media AI, multiple brands

There's a 14-day free trial. Richpanel's AI agents page quotes $99 per human seat alongside the $0.20 AI rate, so confirm the seat price on your quote. My Richpanel pricing post covers the contract terms.

What merchants say

Shopify

"After using Gorgias for a few years, we were very happy with moving over to RP, they have an amazing support staff."

My take: Pick Richpanel if most of your tickets end with "can you change my order?" and you want the lowest AI cost per resolution here. Skip it if storefront product answers are the job. See Richpanel alternatives for the wider field.

7. eesel

Best for: stores that want the helpdesk queue answered with the Shopify order in hand, without switching helpdesk.

eesel working on a Shopify store: a shopper on a demo outdoor gear store asks the eesel chat for a waterproof jacket for winter hiking, and eesel looks through the store's products to answer

eesel is an AI helpdesk teammate. It joins your Shopify store and the helpdesk you already use, such as Gorgias, Zendesk or Freshdesk, and works the queue like a new hire: it reads your products, policies and past tickets, checks the order before it answers, and passes anything about money to a person. On the storefront, the chat bubble answers from the same knowledge.

What it does better than Flyweight

  • It sends the reply, or drafts it, your choice. Question Beauty lets eesel reply directly in Gorgias: about 960 replies in a month, with 280 tickets closed without a person. STIL Classics, a planner brand on Gorgias and Shopify, wants every reply checked, so eesel left about 430 draft replies as internal notes after looking up about 230 Shopify orders.
  • It learns from your past tickets. Past helpdesk conversations are a training source, which is what Flyweight's reviewer asked for.
  • You can test it on history first. eesel runs on your past tickets and shows what it would have said before a customer sees anything.
  • The handoff carries context. Refunds, complaints and chargebacks go to a person with an internal note on what the customer asked and what eesel found in Shopify.

Where it falls short

  • It doesn't process refunds or edit orders on its own; it looks up orders and products and hands money decisions to your team. If you want the AI to issue refunds, Gorgias, Yuma or Richpanel go further.
  • It's not a proactive storefront salesperson, and Flyweight's product answers on deep catalogs are a real strength.
  • A credit is spent on every ticket or chat it works, including ones it hands off.

Pricing

PlanMonthlyCreditsExtra credits
Free$0100 to tryn/a
Teammate$299500$0.80 each, with a cap you set
Teammate$4991,000$0.80 each
Teammate$8492,000$0.80 each
Teammate$1,7495,000$0.80 each

A ticket or a chat is 1 credit however long it runs, with unlimited agents and seats, per the eesel pricing page.

What merchants say

Shopify

"Very good application of AI technology for our Webstore. Easy to use and incredibly helpful for our customers while easing the burdon of technical support and parts identification from our staff."

My take: Pick eesel if Flyweight's storefront answers are fine but the Gorgias or Zendesk queue is where your week goes. It can sit next to Flyweight rather than replace it. My guide to the best AI helpdesk for Shopify compares it with the other helpdesk-side tools.

How to test a Flyweight alternative on your past conversations

Every vendor above will show you a great demo. The only number worth trusting is what a tool does on your own tickets.

Hand-drawn flow from a stack of 150 past conversations tagged order tracking, returns, product questions, cancellations and edge cases, through a magnifying glass labelled run each tool, to a scorecard listing percent fully resolved, wrong answers, handoff quality and cost per resolved chat
Hand-drawn flow from a stack of 150 past conversations tagged order tracking, returns, product questions, cancellations and edge cases, through a magnifying glass labelled run each tool, to a scorecard listing percent fully resolved, wrong answers, handoff quality and cost per resolved chat

Here's why I'm strict about it. When eesel cross-checked a trial for a German jewelry brand on Zendesk and Shopify against 100 real tickets, the drafts pointed the right way 88% of the time, yet only 12% were sent as written and 7% contained a factual error. Returns and refund questions scored well (93.8% useful drafts). None of that shows up in a demo; all of it shows up in 100 tickets.

  1. Pull 100 to 200 past conversations. Cover order tracking, returns, refunds and exchanges, product questions, cancellations and edits, and the odd ones.
  2. Run every tool on the same set. Several offer this: Richpanel tests on recent tickets, Siena has a sandbox, and eesel simulates on your history.
  3. Score four things. The share fully resolved (by the vendor's own definition and by yours), wrong answers, how the handoff reads to your agent, and cost per resolved conversation.
  4. Start in shadow mode. Let the AI draft or look things up before it touches refunds or anything you can't undo. My guide to the shadow review step covers how.
  5. Then cut over channel by channel. My guide to switching AI support vendors walks through a phased move.

Try eesel on the queue Flyweight drafts for

Flyweight is a good expert on your storefront, and if that's where your customers ask, keep it. If the hours are going into the Gorgias, Zendesk or Freshdesk queue, eesel is the AI helpdesk teammate I'd point you to: it checks the Shopify order, replies or drafts in your helpdesk, and hands refunds to your team with the context already written.

The Question Beauty customer story on eesel.ai, headlined Messenger, email and chat questions answered in Gorgias in the language the customer wrote in, showing 990 Gorgias tickets handled in a month, 960 replies sent, 290 Shopify orders looked up and 280 tickets closed without a person, as taken from eesel

That's what Question Beauty runs on Gorgias and Shopify, reading short messages like "price?" as buying intent and checking Shopify before every order answer. Run it on your past tickets first and see what it would have said. You get 100 credits free, no card needed. Try eesel on your own Shopify tickets.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the best Flyweight alternatives for a Shopify store?

Gorgias and Richpanel fit if you want the AI to change orders inside a full helpdesk. Yuma and Siena add an AI agent on top of the helpdesk you already run, Tidio is the budget pick, and Manifest AI fits product discovery on WhatsApp and Instagram. My Flyweight review covers what you would be replacing.

Is there a Flyweight alternative with public pricing?

Yes. Gorgias, Tidio, Richpanel and eesel publish full price lists, Yuma publishes illustrative annual plans and Shopify listing prices, and Siena publishes its $750 platform fee and $0.90 per automated ticket. Flyweight and Manifest AI quote per store. My guide to chatbot cost compares the billing units.

Which Flyweight alternative can process refunds and returns?

Gorgias, Yuma and Richpanel all list refunds, returns or cancellations as actions the AI can take in Shopify, usually with permissions you set per action. Check which actions run on their own and which wait for approval. My post on whether AI can handle refunds and returns covers the guardrails.

How much do Flyweight alternatives cost per resolved conversation?

At 2,000 conversations a month with 1,000 resolved by AI, list prices work out to roughly $1.20 on Yuma, $1.28 on Gorgias Pro, $1.65 on Siena plus your helpdesk, and $0.85 on eesel plus your helpdesk. Flyweight is quote-only. My post on cost per resolution shows the full maths.

Does Flyweight work inside Gorgias or Zendesk?

Its Ticket AI is a browser extension that drafts replies inside Gorgias, Zendesk, Freshdesk and others, but it is in beta and never sends on its own. If you want tickets answered in the helpdesk without a person, look at Yuma, Siena or eesel. My guide to AI for Gorgias compares the options.

How do I compare Flyweight alternatives fairly?

Run each tool on the same 100 to 200 past conversations, covering order tracking, returns, product questions, cancellations and edge cases. Score the share fully resolved, the wrong answers and the cost per resolved conversation, not the vendor's headline automation rate. My guide to testing an AI agent has a checklist.

What is the cheapest Flyweight alternative for a small Shopify store?

Tidio has a free plan and its Lyro AI plan starts at $39 a month for up to 200 AI conversations on its Shopify listing. Gorgias Starter with AI Agent is $40 a month but has no order actions. My list of Shopify chatbot apps includes more low-cost options.
