How much does SiteSpeak AI cost?

SiteSpeak AI is a no-code website chatbot: you train it on your pages, files and wikis, then drop a chat widget on your site. I covered the product itself in my SiteSpeak AI overview and the full review. This post is just the money side.

I've spent two years on SEO at eesel, and "X pricing" searches nearly always hide the same real question: what will this cost me each month at my volume? So I'll answer that, not just the sticker price.

Here's the live SiteSpeak pricing page as of October 2026. It has two tabs, one for businesses and one for agencies, and a monthly/yearly toggle.

SiteSpeak pricing page showing the Free, Starter, Pro, Growth and Business plans at $0, $29, $79, $249 and $499 per month with their credit and agent limits, as taken from SiteSpeak

Growth$249$20810,000158,00015Daily
Business$499$41620,000Unlimited20,00015Daily

All figures come from the pricing page. The yearly saving SiteSpeak states ("Save $58/yr" on Starter, $158 on Pro, $498 on Growth, $998 on Business) works out to two months free: $290, $790, $2,490 and $4,990 a year.

What each plan unlocks

The credit counts climb in a straight line, but the features don't. This is the table I'd use to pick a plan, because the gates are what push most teams up a tier.

Two gates stand out to me. Human escalation is Pro-only, so Starter can answer but can't hand a frustrated visitor to a person over live chat. And PII redaction, which masks card numbers and passwords, needs Growth at $249. If you take payments-related questions in chat, that one gate can decide your plan.

One small mismatch to know about: the pricing page puts "Remove Powered By" on Starter, but SiteSpeak's customization page FAQ still says branding removal is for higher plans. I'd treat the pricing page as current and check during the trial.

Agency plans

The "For agencies" tab is a separate product for resellers. You get a white-label dashboard, client logins and per-client usage limits, all under your own brand, per the agency page.

PlanMonthlyYearly (per month)Billed yearlyMessage credits/moAI agentsTraining sourcesClient sub-teams
Agency Starter$399$333$3,99015,000105,00010
Agency Pro$699$583$6,99025,0002512,50025
Agency Enterprise$1,299$1,083$12,99050,000Unlimited50,000Unlimited

A custom app domain starts on Agency Pro, and dedicated support is Enterprise-only. SiteSpeak's own launch post spells out the pitch:

"We built a white-label agency platform into SiteSpeak. You rebrand everything - dashboard, login, emails, chat widget - put it on your own domain, and resell to clients. They never know we exist. You set your pricing. You keep the margin. 7-day free trial, plans from $399/mo."

The math is easy to run. Agency Starter with all 10 client slots filled comes to $39.90 per client and about 1,500 credits each, so anything you charge a client above that is your margin. The agency docs also say that when a client hits its credit limit, its chatbots "will stop responding until the next billing cycle or until you increase the limit," so set limits with some headroom.

What does one message credit actually buy?

This is the part most pricing pages skip and SiteSpeak handles better than most. The homepage FAQ on sitespeak.ai says it plainly: "Each AI reply to a visitor counts as one message credit."

So credits measure replies, not conversations. A visitor who asks one question and leaves costs one credit. A visitor who asks a question, two follow-ups and a "thanks, one more thing" costs four.

Hand-drawn jar of 1,000 SiteSpeak credits feeding four rows: 1 reply per chat gives 1,000 chats, 2 replies gives 500, 4 replies gives 250 and 6 replies gives 166, with the note 1 credit = 1 AI reply

That's why I'd never compare plans by credit count alone. Starter's 1,000 credits sounds like 1,000 chats, but at four replies a chat it covers about 250 conversations a month. Before you pick a plan, open your current chat logs and count the average replies per conversation. That one number changes your plan more than anything else on the page.

The eesel team has heard this exact confusion on sales calls. One buyer burned through 200 interactions in a single test day and immediately worried what it would cost at their expected 9,000 a month. Another found the difference between per-interaction and per-ticket billing so confusing that it took over the call. Per-reply billing isn't bad. You just have to do the multiplication before you sign.

A few other credit rules worth knowing, all from SiteSpeak's docs:

  • No per-model multiplier is published. Model choice is gated by plan (basic models on Free and Starter, advanced ones from Pro), not priced per model.
  • Deleted chats don't refund credits. The docs say deleting a chat from the visitor's side "does not refund credits."
  • MCP queries are a separate meter. Each knowledge-base query through the MCP endpoint draws from its own monthly cap (2,500 on Pro, up to 10,000 on Business), not from your message credits.
  • Visitors are rate-limited, not capped. There's no limit on total questions per visitor, but there is a limit of five questions a minute, per the visitor FAQ.

Bring your own key

On Pro and up, BYOK takes credits out of the picture. Add your own OpenAI, Anthropic or Google key and "No credits are deducted from your monthly allowance." You pay the model provider for tokens and SiteSpeak only for the plan.

There are two catches. The key has to match the bot's main model, so a Claude bot with only an OpenAI key still uses credits. And if your key fails, SiteSpeak doesn't fall back to its own keys, so replies just fail. For high-volume sites, BYOK on Pro can be the cheapest way to run SiteSpeak, as long as someone on your team watches the provider bill and key health.

Should you buy credit packs or upgrade?

Here's the pattern I noticed while running the numbers. SiteSpeak has priced its tiers almost exactly on the credit-pack line.

Hand-drawn comparison of three equal-price pairs: Starter $29 plus 2 packs $50 equals Pro $79; Pro $79 plus 7 packs $175 is about Growth $249; Growth $249 plus 10 packs $250 equals Business $499, with the note same credits, same price, you pay for features

PlanPriceCreditsCost per reply

Pro$793,0002.6 cents
Growth$24910,0002.5 cents
Business$49920,0002.5 cents
Extra pack$251,0002.5 cents

Starter plus 2,000 extra credits costs $79, the same as Pro. Growth plus 10,000 extra costs $499, the same as Business. An upgrade never buys you cheaper replies. It buys features at no extra volume cost.

That gives you a simple rule:

  1. If you need a feature from the next tier, upgrade. The credits come along at no premium.
  2. If you only need more replies, buy packs. Pro with up to 6 packs ($229 for 9,000 credits) is cheaper than Growth.
  3. Past about 9,000 credits a month on Pro, switch to Growth. At 10,000 credits, Pro plus packs is $254 and Growth is $249, with daily sync and PII redaction thrown in.

What will SiteSpeak AI cost you each month?

Sticker prices are fine, but a real bill is more useful. Here are three setups I'd expect to see, using SiteSpeak's own numbers and an assumed average replies per chat.

Three hand-drawn receipt cards: a small shop with 200 chats at 3 replies needs 600 credits on Starter for $29 a month; a SaaS with handover at 1,500 chats and 4 replies needs 6,000 credits on Pro plus 3 packs for $154 a month; a busy store at 4,000 chats and 4 replies needs 16,000 credits on Growth plus 6 packs for $399 a month

  • Small shop doing lead capture, no handover: 200 chats at 3 replies is 600 credits. Starter covers it at $29 a month.
  • SaaS that needs human escalation: 1,500 chats at 4 replies is 6,000 credits. Pro's 3,000 plus three packs comes to $154 a month, about 10 cents a conversation.
  • Busy store that needs PII redaction: 4,000 chats at 4 replies is 16,000 credits. Growth plus six packs is $399 a month, which beats Business at $499 unless you need the audit log.

To try your own numbers, use the calculator below. It picks the cheapest plan that has the features you need, then adds credit packs on top.

If the calculator puts you on Growth or Business only because of volume, look at BYOK on Pro first. If it puts you on Growth because you need PII redaction, that's money well spent.

What hidden costs should you watch for?

SiteSpeak is more upfront than most tools I've priced, so the list is short. Still, these are the ones that would catch me out:

  • No refunds. Section 4 of the SiteSpeak terms is a no-refund policy. You can cancel anytime, but money already paid stays paid. Use the 7-day trial on real questions, not "hello" tests.
  • Starter has no handover. If a visitor asks for a person, Starter has nowhere to send them. Most support use cases end up on Pro, and WhatsApp (see my WhatsApp chatbot roundup) is Pro-only too.
  • Long chats eat credits. Per-reply billing means a chatty audience or a bot that asks lots of clarifying questions raises your bill. Tight answers and good sources save money here, and fewer wrong answers mean fewer follow-ups.
  • No helpdesk integration on any plan. Escalations go to email, Slack or a webhook, and you reply in SiteSpeak's own Inbox. Getting chats into Zendesk or Freshdesk means a Zapier (Pro and up) or webhook setup, and someone maintaining it.
  • Custom plans aren't priced. Past Business, the page says "Contact us for a custom plan," with no list price for extra agents or sources.

Is SiteSpeak AI worth the price?

For a small business, I think yes. The one real customer review I found makes the same point about value. A team running SiteSpeak on an internal BookStack wiki wrote:

Reddit

"We love it - you can choose which GPT to use from a list - there's no separate GPT charges you pay him for the number of messages you need. It's (for us anyway) super cheap around $60 a month for everything. You can train the bot more - you can build your own system and goal prompts. 100% recommend it."

On list price, it also sits at the cheaper end of its category. Chatbase's Hobby plan is $40 for 700 credits on its pricing page, against SiteSpeak's $29 for 1,000. For the wider field, start with my DocsBot pricing breakdown.

If you're weighing several bots, my SiteGPT pricing and Tidio pricing posts cover two more, and the Chatbase vs SiteGPT comparison puts two of them side by side.

Where the value drops off is when a website bot isn't really what you need. If your support team already works a ticket queue, a cheap bot that lives in its own inbox can cost you more in glue and double-handling than you save on the plan. My guide to AI customer service cost walks through that trade-off, and my list of the best customer service chatbots covers tools built for support queues.

Pick SiteSpeak ifLook elsewhere if
You want an AI chatbot for your website at $29 to $79Your team already answers customers in a helpdesk
Your chats are short, so per-reply billing stays lowYour chats run long and back-and-forth
You're an agency reselling white-label botsYou need the bot to learn from past support tickets, like an AI helpdesk agent
You can bring your own model key on ProYou need PII redaction but can't justify $249

eesel for support teams pricing a chatbot

eesel is an AI teammate platform, and for this job the teammate is the AI helpdesk teammate. It covers SiteSpeak's main use case, a chat bubble on your site from one script tag, and it also works inside Zendesk, Freshdesk and other helpdesks. A handed-over chat becomes a normal ticket for your team.

eesel Chat Bubble page describing a floating chat widget added to your website with one script tag, connected to your knowledge base, docs or Zendesk, captured from eesel

The pricing model works differently, which is why it's worth a look after reading this far. On eesel pricing, one ticket or chat is one credit however many replies it takes, so long conversations don't raise the bill. There's a free plan with 100 credits and no card, paid plans start at $299 a month for 500 credits, and every plan includes every feature with unlimited agents and seats. It also learns from your past tickets, and before launch it runs a simulation on your past tickets so you can see what it would have answered.

I'll be straight about the trade-off. Per conversation, SiteSpeak is cheaper: about 10 cents at four replies on Pro, against about 60 cents on eesel's first paid plan. If you just need a lead-capture bot and have no helpdesk, SiteSpeak's Starter is the better buy. If your chats should end up as tickets your team already works, try eesel on the free plan and run the simulation first.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does SiteSpeak AI cost?

SiteSpeak AI pricing starts with a free plan (30 message credits a month), then Starter at $29, Pro at $79, Growth at $249 and Business at $499 per month. Yearly billing brings those to $24, $66, $208 and $416 a month. For a wider view of what bots like this cost, see my guide to chatbot cost.

What is a message credit in SiteSpeak AI?

SiteSpeak's own FAQ says each AI reply to a visitor counts as one message credit. A chat with four bot replies uses four credits, so the number of conversations you get depends on how long your chats run. This is different from tools that bill per conversation or per resolution.

How much do extra SiteSpeak AI credits cost?

Extra message credits cost $25 per 1,000 on any plan, which is 2.5 cents per reply. That's the same per-reply rate as the Growth and Business plans, so packs are often cheaper than upgrading if you only need volume. Compare that with Chatbase pricing, where auto-recharge costs $40 per 1,000.

Does SiteSpeak AI have a free plan or free trial?

Both. The free plan is permanent and includes 30 credits, 1 agent and 10 training sources. Every paid plan has a 7-day free trial with no credit card needed. SiteSpeak's terms have a no-refund policy, so do your testing during the trial. My roundup of free AI chatbots covers other no-cost options.

Which SiteSpeak AI plan includes human handoff?

Escalation to human support starts on Pro at $79 a month, along with bring-your-own-key, the API and WhatsApp. Free and Starter are self-serve bots only. If handover is the main thing you need, read my notes on human handoff in chat support before choosing a plan.

Can I lower my SiteSpeak AI bill with my own API key?

Yes, on Pro and above. With your own OpenAI, Anthropic or Google key, replies use no SiteSpeak credits and you pay the model provider directly. The key has to match the bot's main model, or credits still get used. My explainer on RAG vs LLMs covers what you're paying the model provider for.

How much are SiteSpeak AI agency plans?

Agency Starter is $399 a month for 15,000 credits and 10 client sub-teams, Agency Pro is $699 for 25,000 credits and 25 sub-teams, and Agency Enterprise is $1,299 for 50,000 credits and unlimited sub-teams. All three are white-label. For tools agencies compare it with, see my Chatbase alternatives list.

Is SiteSpeak AI cheaper than Chatbase?

On list price, mostly yes. SiteSpeak Starter is $29 for 1,000 credits, while Chatbase Hobby is $40 for 700 credits as of October 2026. Check both live pages before buying, and see my full breakdown of Chatbase pricing and the SiteSpeak AI review for features beyond price.
