7 best ConvertWay alternatives for Shopify WhatsApp and SMS in 2026

Why do Shopify stores look for ConvertWay alternatives?
I work eesel's support queue every day, and the pattern I see from that side is simple: marketing tools create support work. A cart reminder brings back a shopper, the shopper places a cash-on-delivery order, and two days later they reply to the shipping update asking where it is. One multi-brand ecommerce operator that talked to eesel this year was handling 500+ tickets a day, and the top three topics were refunds, unsubscribe requests and order tracking. Two of those three come straight out of marketing messages.
ConvertWay is good at the sending side. It's listed on Shopify as "CW: WhatsApp, SMS & AI Chatbot", holds 4.5 stars from 241 reviews on its Shopify listing, and handles cart recovery, COD confirmation, order updates and broadcasts over WhatsApp, SMS, RCS and email. I went through all of it for my ConvertWay review and gave it 3.5 out of 5.

The reasons stores leave come down to four things:
- The message bill lives inside the app. Plans are $49, $99 and $399 a month, and every plan card says additional charges apply per notification sent. ConvertWay publishes those rates only in the app's billing section, and its own pricing page still shows older prices than the Shopify listing. My ConvertWay pricing post adds it up.
- AI chatbots sit in the top plan. Starter and Growth get flow-based bots. The AI chatbots that answer questions are listed only under Enterprise at $399 a month.
- Template categories can move the bill. In India, Meta charges about 8x more for a marketing WhatsApp message than a utility one, and one G2 reviewer says a COD flow was switched to a marketing template without them noticing.
- The inbox is browser-only. A 2024 G2 reviewer noted there's no app, so new chats wait until someone refreshes the page.
One reviewer put the billing worry plainly:
"A bug secretly switched my approved "Utility" COD confirmation flow to some random "Marketing" template. I've been overcharged on who-knows-how-many messages, and I only found out by accident."
That's one account I can't verify from outside, but the lesson applies to every tool below: check the template category on your busiest flows each month.
How I picked these alternatives
Before writing, I asked ChatGPT the question a store owner would: I use ConvertWay on my Shopify store for WhatsApp and SMS, cart messages, COD confirmations, broadcasts and chat, and I'm thinking about switching. It looked up Zoko, Interakt, BiteSpeed, DelightChat, Dondy, Reco, AiSensy and TxtCart, and it told me to "demo BiteSpeed, Zoko, and DelightChat first."
I kept five of its picks and changed three. TxtCart's Shopify listing now says the app "is not currently available on the Shopify App Store", so it's out. Dondy and Reco are newer apps with little public detail. In their place I added Wati, whose cart-recovery app showed up in the Shopify categories ChatGPT browsed, and Postscript, the SMS specialist for stores selling in the US.
Then I checked each one against the four jobs ConvertWay does: cart recovery, COD confirmation, broadcasts and customer chat, plus SMS and AI. Every price below comes from the vendor's own pricing page or Shopify listing, checked on October 21, 2026.
One app or two?
ChatGPT's best line was this one: "ConvertWay combines several tools in one." That's the real question behind the switch. Most of the tools here do WhatsApp very well and don't send SMS at all.

If you send SMS to the same shoppers you message on WhatsApp, you have two choices. Pick BiteSpeed or Wati and keep one app, or pair a WhatsApp tool with an SMS tool like Postscript or Klaviyo's SMS. Two apps means two subscriber lists and two sets of flows, so make sure a shopper who buys stops getting reminders from both.

Which ConvertWay alternative fits why you're leaving?
ChatGPT ended its answer by asking why I was switching: pricing, delivery, automation, or chat and support. That's the right question. Pick the reason closest to yours.
DelightChat Startup ($29/mo): passes Meta's WhatsApp rates through "as is, with no markup", and auto-replies don't count as billable tickets.
Backup: Postscript, which prints its per-SMS rate on every plan card, from $0.009 on Starter down to $0.007 on Professional.
BiteSpeed: WhatsApp, SMS and AI voice calls in one Shopify app, free to install with usage billed monthly.
Backup: Wati Growth ($69/mo): an inbox for WhatsApp, RCS and SMS from the first plan.
Interakt Premier ($99/mo on Shopify): sales, FAQ and lead AI agents plus cart reminders and Shopify actions.
If most chats are order questions: eesel, which checks the Shopify order and learns from past replies, from $299/mo for 500 chats.
DelightChat: WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, email and live chat in one inbox, with the Shopify order shown beside each ticket.
Backup: Zoko, with unlimited agents on its $49.99 Starter plan and a 4.9 rating from 463 Shopify reviews.
AiSensy: a Free Forever plan for the WhatsApp API, ₹1,500/mo Basic for broadcasts, and a $1 one-time Shopify app.
Backup: Interakt at $21/mo on Shopify, with COD double-confirmation and unlimited seats.
BiteSpeed: AI voice agents that call shoppers to recover carts and confirm COD orders, next to WhatsApp and SMS flows.
Staying put is also an option: ConvertWay's own voice agent, Catalyst, is sold by demo.
If none of these fits, my roundup of the best WhatsApp chatbots covers tools that aren't Shopify-specific, and my Zoko alternatives list goes deeper on WhatsApp-only options.
What does AI support cost with each tool?
This is where the alternatives differ most, and where ConvertWay asks the most. Each vendor bills AI by a different unit, so I priced the cheapest monthly plan on each tool that puts an AI agent in front of customers.

What the chart leaves out:
- Zoko's $75 is Starter at $49.99 plus the Guru agent at $24.99, then $0.09 per resolution after 100 free. Zoko's AI also runs on your own OpenAI account, as my Zoko pricing post explains.
- Wati's $149 includes an "AI agent for FAQs and product assistance" on Pro, with more AI credits at $30 per 1,000.
- Postscript's $699 is a bundle of its AI products, with per-message rates from $0.003 to $0.30. The page doesn't say whether it sits on top of a base plan, so ask.
- eesel's $299 covers 500 tickets or chats with the AI model cost included and unlimited seats.
Three tools aren't on the chart. BiteSpeed sells by demo, DelightChat's AI drafts replies for your team rather than answering on its own, and AiSensy prices its AI agent in rupees. I'd also ask every vendor what counts as one billable unit, since a "resolution" and a chat handled aren't the same thing, as my post on deflection vs resolution rate explains.
1. BiteSpeed

Best for: Shopify brands that want WhatsApp, SMS and AI calls for cart and COD recovery in one app, the closest match to how ConvertWay works.
BiteSpeed was ChatGPT's "closest all-in-one alternative", and after going through it I agree. Its Shopify app, listed as "B: WhatsApp, Voice, SMS & Chat", covers WhatsApp cart recovery, segmented broadcasts, upsell and cross-sell campaigns, COD to prepaid conversion, popups and spin-the-wheel for list growth, and review collection that pushes to Judge.me, Loox, Stamped and Yotpo. Like ConvertWay, it's built in Gurgaon, and it has been on Shopify since October 2019.
Its headline feature is AI voice agents that "call shoppers to recover abandoned carts and confirm COD orders." ConvertWay has a voice agent too, so this is a like-for-like comparison worth asking both vendors about. The omnichannel support inbox brings voice, WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger together, with chatbots for product recommendations and common questions.
Pricing
BiteSpeed is free to install on Shopify, and the listing notes "Additional charges may apply", billed in USD or INR every 30 days with recurring and usage charges on the same bill. The free tier on the listing includes the WhatsApp chat button, AI voice agent, abandoned cart recovery, broadcasts, the support inbox and popups.
The pricing page has no plan table. It's a demo form, so the per-message and per-call rates come from sales. That's the same problem many people leave ConvertWay over, so get the rate card in writing before you move.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| WhatsApp, SMS, email and AI voice in one Shopify app | No public plan or message prices |
| 4.6 from 409 Shopify reviews | Built mainly for Indian D2C brands, like ConvertWay |
| COD to prepaid and voice COD confirmation | Only 3 reviews on G2 so far |
What users say
BiteSpeed has 5.0 from 3 reviews on G2, so its Shopify rating is the bigger signal. The most useful G2 review names a real limit:
"Currently Bitespeed doesn't integrate with any third-party checkout tool except shopify so you can't trigger a COD to prepaid conversion notification."
Verdict: Pick BiteSpeed if you want to replace ConvertWay with one app and keep SMS and voice. Skip it if you left ConvertWay because you couldn't see message rates before signing.
2. Zoko

Best for: Stores where WhatsApp is the only channel that matters and selling inside the chat is part of the plan.
Zoko was ChatGPT's first pick for the WhatsApp side. It puts your team on one WhatsApp number, lets shoppers buy from a catalog inside the chat, and includes 11 ready-made flows for free, including abandoned checkout, COD confirmation, COD to prepaid, reorder reminders and order notifications. Every feature sits on every plan, and the plans differ by volume. I covered it in full in my Zoko review.
It doesn't send SMS, which ChatGPT flagged too ("verify SMS coverage"). The AI comes as separate agents: Guru answers from files, text and Q&A pairs you add, Wismo reads Shopify orders, and Sello helps sell, in English only.
Pricing
| Plan | Price | Zoko fee per conversation | Agents included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $49.99/mo | $0.015 on every conversation | Unlimited |
| Plus | $79.99/mo | First 5,000 free, then $0.00199 | 5 |
| Elite | $139.99/mo | First 100,000 free, then $0.00099 | 10 |
| Max | $499.99/mo | None | 30 |
WhatsApp messages are billed by Meta directly on top. Guru and Wismo cost $24.99 a month each plus $0.09 per resolution after 100 free, and Sello is $24.99 plus 3% of the order value it drives. Instagram is a $9.99 add-on, and every plan has a 7-day trial.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| 4.9 from 463 Shopify reviews | No SMS |
| Free COD and cart flows on every plan | AI runs on your own OpenAI account, a third bill |
| Published per-conversation rates | Starter charges a fee on every conversation |
What users say
Zoko's Shopify rating is strong, but the Reddit thread people find when they search for a way out shows where its chatbot falls short for some teams:
"we made a mistake, this app is too confusing to work with and i had thought we could do more with chatbot features but it's not as advanced as we had wanted"
Verdict: Pick Zoko if you sell over WhatsApp and want clear, published rates. Skip it if SMS is part of your cart recovery today.
3. Interakt

Best for: Shopify stores, especially in India, that want WhatsApp cart reminders, COD confirmation and AI agents on a cheap plan with unlimited seats.
Interakt is a WhatsApp and Instagram platform from Haptik. On Shopify it covers abandoned cart reminders, order, shipping and cancellation updates, COD double-confirmation, bulk campaigns and catalog sharing in chat. Its core plans don't charge per seat, which matters if your support team is growing faster than your marketing team.
Its AI agents come as a set: customer support (trained on your website and docs), sales (suggests products from your Meta catalog), lead qualification, and an order management agent that the vendor says "tracks orders, updates delivery, handles returns." Test that last one with real order numbers before you rely on it.
Pricing
| Shopify plan | Monthly | Yearly | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $21 | $180 | Notifications, shared inbox, chat widget |
| Growth | $41 | $296 | Delayed notifications, basic chatbot, Instagram automation |
| Advanced | $51 | $468 | Advanced chatbot, auto-routing, agent stats |
| Premier | $99 | $839 | AI agents, cart reminders, Shopify actions |
Those are the prices on its Shopify listing. Interakt's website bills by the quarter at different rates, with AI agents as a $74.99 a month add-on there. WhatsApp fees are added on top of every plan, and the Shopify trial runs 14 days.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| $21/mo entry on Shopify | No SMS |
| Unlimited seats on core plans | Website and Shopify price lists don't match |
| Strong COD and order-update flows | 47 of 232 Shopify reviews are one star |
What users say
Interakt holds 4.5 out of 5 from 68 reviews on G2:
"The overall onboarding experience is smooth and well structured. The platform provides good value for money, with comprehensive feature integration and a user-friendly interface."
Verdict: Pick Interakt if WhatsApp campaigns and COD flows are most of what ConvertWay does for you and you want AI without the $399 plan. Skip it if you still send SMS.
4. DelightChat

Best for: Brands where support matters as much as marketing, and the team wants email and WhatsApp in the same inbox.
ChatGPT described DelightChat as the "better fit when support is as important as marketing", which is fair. It puts WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, email and live chat in one inbox, with the Shopify customer and order beside each ticket. The marketing side covers broadcasts, abandoned cart and checkout recovery, COD confirmation, COD to prepaid and review requests. It's been on the Shopify App Store since January 2021.
The AI is a GPT-based assistant that drafts and polishes agent replies. The pricing page doesn't describe it answering customers on its own or looking up orders, so treat it as help for your team, not a replacement for an AI agent.
Pricing
| Plan | Price | Billable tickets/mo | Marketing contacts/mo | Team members |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Startup | $29/mo | 500 | 2,500 | 5 |
| Scale | $99/mo | 2,000 | 10,000 | 20 |
| Growth | $299/mo | 6,000 | 30,000 | 50 |
A ticket only counts when a person replies, so auto-replies are free. WhatsApp fees are charged "as is, with no markup", and the first WhatsApp number is included. The trial is 14 days with no card.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Meta rates with no markup, published plan limits | No SMS |
| Email and live chat in the same inbox | AI drafts for your team, no autonomous agent documented |
| 4.9 from 224 Shopify reviews | Seat counts fixed per plan |
What users say
I couldn't find DelightChat on G2 or Capterra, so its 4.9 rating from 224 reviews on the Shopify listing is the main signal. Recent reviews there praise the setup help and the pricing.
Verdict: Pick DelightChat if you're leaving ConvertWay because the inbox can't keep up and you want transparent WhatsApp fees. Skip it if SMS or AI that answers on its own is the reason.
5. Wati

Best for: WhatsApp-first stores that want a large, mature platform and still send some SMS.
Wati is one of the best-known WhatsApp API platforms, with a 4.6 from 516 reviews on G2. Its Shopify app is now built around cart recovery that turns into a conversation: send a product carousel, and when the shopper writes back, "AI Agents answer on its own", with harder chats routed to your team. The listing says the thread follows the customer across "WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, RCS, SMS, and calls."
That makes Wati the second tool on this list, after BiteSpeed, where WhatsApp and SMS live in one app. The Growth plan lists an "Omnichannel inbox (WhatsApp + RCS + SMS)".
Pricing
| Shopify plan | Monthly | Yearly | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Growth | $69 | $708 | WhatsApp, RCS and SMS inbox, promotions, ecommerce tools |
| Pro | $149 | $1,428 | AI agent for FAQs and products, unlimited broadcasts, drip campaigns |
| Business | $349 | $3,348 | Dedicated success manager, priority support |
On Pro and Business, extra users are $89 a month each, automation is $40 per 1,000 credits and AI is $30 per 1,000 credits. Message charges are extra and vary by country, and every plan has a 7-day trial.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| WhatsApp, SMS and RCS in one inbox | Several add-on meters on top of the plan |
| AI agent on Pro at $149/mo | 3.8 from 121 Shopify reviews |
| 4.6 from 516 reviews on G2 | Extra seats cost $89 each |
What users say
Reviewers like the Shopify order messages most:
"Wati has been our messaging platform for over 3 years. What we love most is its integration with our Shopify store and the ability to send automated messages to all our customers with notifications about their orders and shipping updates."
Verdict: Pick Wati if you want one app for WhatsApp and SMS with published plan prices and AI on a mid-tier plan. Skip it if your team is large, since seats add up fast.
6. AiSensy

Best for: Indian D2C brands that mostly need cheap WhatsApp broadcasts and COD confirmation, with AI as an optional extra.
AiSensy is a WhatsApp marketing platform built in India and priced in rupees. Its Free Forever plan keeps the WhatsApp API, the Blue Tick application and a click-to-WhatsApp ads manager, though broadcasts need a paid plan. Its Shopify app is a $1 one-time charge and covers abandoned cart, COD confirmation and shipping updates.
ChatGPT called it "less of an all-in-one SMS replacement", which is accurate: it's WhatsApp only. The AI chat agent learns from your business details, a website crawl and uploaded files, and it can check order status through tool calling you set up against Shopify.
Pricing
| Plan | Price (billed monthly) | Agents | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free Forever | ₹0 | Live chat only | No broadcasts |
| Basic | ₹1,500/mo | Owner + 5 | Broadcasts, Shopify and WooCommerce |
| Pro | ₹3,200/mo | Owner + 5 | Scheduler, click tracking, routing, APIs |
| Premium | ₹9,100/mo | Owner + 9 | Reports, webhooks, priority support |
The AI agent is ₹1,350 a month for 1,000 AI messages, and chatbot flows are a separate ₹2,500 a month. India message rates from October 1, 2026 are ₹1.09 per marketing message and ₹0.145 for utility or service, after 1,000 free service messages a month.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Free Forever plan with the WhatsApp API | WhatsApp only, no SMS |
| Published India message rates | AI agent and chatbot flows are both add-ons |
| $1 one-time Shopify app | 4.0 from 56 Shopify reviews |
What users say
"This is very good and easy to use; it works like a charm. It is very user-friendly, and the AI agent also helps a lot and works much better than expected."
Verdict: Pick AiSensy if you're an Indian brand and WhatsApp broadcasts are the job. Skip it if SMS or an email inbox matters.
7. Postscript

Best for: Shopify brands selling mostly in the US and Canada, where SMS is the revenue channel and WhatsApp isn't.
Postscript is the odd one out here, and that's the point. If ConvertWay's SMS is what you use most and your shoppers are in North America, a WhatsApp tool won't help. Postscript is built for SMS on Shopify: campaigns, a visual flow builder with cart and browse abandonment, welcome and shipping templates, list-growth popups, and "response management" so you can reply to texts. It has 4.7 from 1,205 reviews on its Shopify listing, and it's been there since September 2018.
Its AI is marketing AI. Shopper, per Postscript's G2 profile, runs 24/7 "answering questions, recommending products, and sending personalized automation messages." There's no COD flow and no WhatsApp, and email is on a waitlist.
Pricing
| Plan | Platform fee | Per SMS | Per MMS |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $0/mo ($49 minimum spend) | $0.009 | $0.045 |
| Growth | $100/mo | $0.008 | $0.03 |
| Professional | $500/mo | $0.007 | $0.024 |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Custom |
US carrier fees pass through at cost on their own line, averaging $0.0033 per SMS. Listed rates are for the US and Canada only. The AI Plan is $699 a month with per-message rates from $0.003 to $0.30, and new accounts get a $100 credit for the first 30 days.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Per-SMS rates printed on every plan | No WhatsApp and no COD flows |
| 4.7 from 1,205 Shopify reviews | Rates listed for the US and Canada only |
| Works with Gorgias and Klaviyo | AI Plan is $699 a month |
What users say
Postscript holds 4.8 from 163 reviews on G2, and reviewers comparing it with bigger names are the most useful:
"Postscript is by far the superior product compared with Attentive and Klaviyo, and it's one of my favorite vendors I've partnered with in the DTC space."
Verdict: Pick Postscript if SMS to US shoppers is the channel ConvertWay was really doing for you. Skip it if any of your customers are on WhatsApp.
Bonus: eesel for the replies
Best for: Shopify stores whose campaigns work, and whose team is now buried in the replies.
I'll be upfront, since I answer eesel's own support queue: eesel isn't a ConvertWay replacement on the marketing side. It has no broadcasts, no cart reminders and no COD flows. It's an AI helpdesk teammate that answers the messages customers start, on WhatsApp, email and website chat, and inside helpdesks like Gorgias or Zendesk. If your SMS replies land in a helpdesk as tickets, it works those too.
What it learns from is the part that differs from every AI above. eesel reads your help center, website, products and past tickets, so the answers your team already wrote are the starting point. Before an order question, it looks the order up in Shopify. And you can run it against last month's real conversations before a customer sees a reply, which my guide to testing an AI agent covers.
Two published stories show it on a Shopify queue. ClutchLoop, a phone accessory brand on Gorgias, handled about 230 tickets and 27 website chats in a month, sending about 180 replies on its own, roughly seven in ten conversations with no person needed. STIL Classics, a planner brand, had eesel look up about 230 Shopify orders before drafting a single reply, with a person sending every one.
Pricing
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 100 credits to try every feature and integration |
| Teammate | From $299/mo for 500 credits | One ticket or chat is 1 credit, however long; unlimited agents and seats |
| Enterprise | Custom | SSO, HIPAA with a BAA, a dedicated person |
Teammate scales in monthly batches, such as 1,000 credits for $499 and 2,000 for $849, on eesel's pricing page. There's no per-message margin from eesel and no separate AI model bill.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Learns from past tickets, help center and products | No broadcasts, cart recovery or COD flows |
| Checks Shopify orders before answering | $299 a month is more than ConvertWay Starter |
| No seat fees | No direct integration with ConvertWay |
What users say
eesel's strongest proof is its published customer stories, with numbers from production. Question Beauty's agent, for example, replies in the customer's language and hands refunds and complaints to a person with a note attached.
Verdict: Pick eesel if most of what comes back from your campaigns is "where's my order" and "can I change this", and you want those answered from what your team already knows. Keep a marketing tool next to it for the sending side.
Before you switch: five things to test
ChatGPT's last warning was a good one: don't uninstall ConvertWay until the new flows are tested, the number has moved and "customers won't receive duplicate automations." Here's the checklist I'd run. My guide to automating WhatsApp support covers the setup side.
- Move your WhatsApp number and opt-ins. Your Business API number can move to a new provider. Export each customer's opt-in status with the contact list, since WhatsApp marketing needs explicit opt-in.
- Re-check template categories. Copy your templates out first, then check that COD confirmations and shipping updates go out as utility, not marketing. My post on WhatsApp 2026 updates covers the rate changes.
- Turn off one flow before turning on its twin. A shopper who gets two cart reminders, one from each app, is the fastest way to an unsubscribe.
- Test a real order lookup. Give the new AI five real order numbers: shipped, delayed, split, refunded and cancelled. My guide to order tracking with AI lists what a good answer includes.
- Test the handoff to a person. Ask for a refund and say you're upset. It should land with a person, context attached. See human handoff best practices for what to look for.
If you can, run the new tool next to ConvertWay for a week. My guide to switching support vendors has a phased cutover plan.
Which ConvertWay alternative should you choose?
If you want one app for WhatsApp and SMS, BiteSpeed is the closest swap, and Wati is the pick if you want published prices. If WhatsApp is your only channel, Interakt and AiSensy are the cheapest, Zoko is the strongest for selling in chat, and DelightChat is the best inbox. If SMS to US shoppers is the job, Postscript does it better than any WhatsApp tool.
Then look at what happens after the message goes out. Every tool here is built to start conversations, and the better they work, the more replies your team gets. My lists of AI for WhatsApp support and AI helpdesks for Shopify cover the answering side, and my Shopify chatbot apps roundup goes wider.
Try eesel for the replies
Whichever tool sends your cart reminders and COD confirmations, the replies still need an answer. eesel connects to Shopify and your WhatsApp or helpdesk, learns from your past replies and help center, and checks the order before it writes back. ClutchLoop's agent answers about seven in ten conversations on its own and steps back the moment a person is already on the ticket.
Try eesel free with 100 credits, run it on last month's real questions, and keep any tool above for the sending side. If you'd rather hand over the whole queue, Managed Support covers WhatsApp, SMS and email for a flat monthly fee.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the best ConvertWay alternatives for a Shopify store?
BiteSpeed and Wati are the closest swaps, because they cover WhatsApp and SMS in one app like ConvertWay does. Zoko, Interakt, DelightChat and AiSensy are WhatsApp-only, and Postscript is SMS-only for US and Canadian shoppers. My ConvertWay review covers what you'd be replacing.
Is there a cheaper alternative to ConvertWay?
Yes. Interakt's Shopify plan starts at $21 a month and DelightChat at $29, against ConvertWay's $49 Starter plan. AiSensy has a free plan, though broadcasts need a paid one. Check the per-message fees too, since my ConvertWay pricing breakdown shows they often outweigh the plan fee.
Which ConvertWay alternative also does SMS?
BiteSpeed covers WhatsApp, SMS and AI voice calls in one Shopify app, and Wati's Growth plan includes an inbox for WhatsApp, RCS and SMS. Postscript is the pick if your shoppers are in the US or Canada and SMS is the main channel. My guide to AI SMS support covers the support side of text messages.
Which ConvertWay alternative is best for COD confirmation?
BiteSpeed, Zoko, Interakt, DelightChat, Wati and AiSensy all list cash-on-delivery confirmation for Shopify. BiteSpeed can also confirm COD orders with an AI voice call, and DelightChat offers COD to prepaid flows. For the questions those orders bring later, see my guide to WISMO automation.
Which ConvertWay alternative has the best AI?
For marketing AI, BiteSpeed's voice agents and Postscript's Shopper are the most developed. For AI that answers support questions, Zoko, Interakt and Wati sell AI agents on lower plans than ConvertWay's $399 Enterprise. If you want answers that check the order first, look at the AI helpdesk teammate.
Can I move my WhatsApp number from ConvertWay to another tool?
Yes. A WhatsApp Business API number can move to a new provider, but plan for message templates, opt-ins and chat history before you switch. Run the new tool next to ConvertWay for a week if you can. My guide to switching support vendors walks through a phased cutover.
Do ConvertWay alternatives charge per message?
All of them do in some form. Meta charges every WhatsApp provider per delivered template message, and SMS tools like Postscript charge per segment plus carrier fees. The difference is whether the vendor publishes its rates: DelightChat passes Meta's rates on with no markup, while ConvertWay shows its rates only inside the app. My post on WhatsApp API pricing explains Meta's side.
Does eesel replace ConvertWay?
No, only the support half of it. eesel has no broadcasts, cart reminders or COD flows. It answers the messages customers send on WhatsApp, email and chat, checks the Shopify order before replying and learns from past tickets. Most stores keep a marketing tool for campaigns next to it.
