TL;DR

Zenbots.ai is a Zendesk Support sidebar chatbot for agents. It reads your Zendesk Guide articles, takes up to 24 hours to train, and then answers agents' questions in a chat box next to the ticket. The paid plan on Zenbots' own checkout is €99 a month for 2,500 messages, plus €75 per extra 1,000.

The bigger finding is about the vendor, not the bot. The Zendesk listing still says "Free integration" and points you to zenbots.ai to pick a plan, but zenbots.ai now loads a domain-parking page. The app was last updated April 3, 2025, has 5+ installs and 1 review. My verdict: 1.5 out of 5. Don't pay for it until someone at Zenbots answers an email.

If you came here because you want AI in your Zendesk sidebar, eesel's AI helpdesk teammate does that job and more. At Adverscale, agents type @eesel in an internal note and the teammate answers the customer, about 2,400 Zendesk tickets in one month.

What is Zenbots AI?

Zenbots.ai is a small Zendesk integration built by a team that listed its address as Cracow, Poland. Its Zendesk Marketplace listing sums it up in one line: "Fully automated AI chatbot with access to your Zendesk Guides."

The Zenbots.ai listing on the Zendesk Marketplace showing a 5 star rating from 1 review, 5+ installs, Works with Support, Free integration and a Ready in 24 hours promo image, as taken from Zendesk Marketplace

I work the eesel support queue every day, so the sidebar is where I live. Any tool that promises "answers right next to the open ticket" gets my attention. For this review I read the full Marketplace listing, the screenshots it ships with, Zenbots' Gumroad checkout and every archived page of zenbots.ai I could find. I couldn't run the bot on a live Zendesk account, because the step where you activate a plan sends you to a website that no longer works. Where I describe behavior, it's what Zenbots documented.

How does Zenbots AI work?

The listing describes four steps: install the Zendesk app, buy a plan on zenbots.ai, open the app so training starts (up to 24 hours), then ask questions from the ticket sidebar. The listing says the bot gets "automatic access to support articles from your Zendesk Guides module," and the old pricing page promised daily knowledge updates.

Under the hood, tools like this run retrieval over your help center: the articles get indexed, an agent types a question, and the bot writes an answer from the closest matches. That's a fair design for one specific job. If your Zendesk knowledge base is thorough, a new agent can ask "how do I reset a customer's 2FA?" without hunting through articles.

A hand-drawn flow of three cards: Help center articles, synced daily, feed a Sidebar chat for agents, which leads to Agent writes the reply; a dashed box below lists Not in the docs: past tickets, the open ticket, sending replies
A hand-drawn flow of three cards: Help center articles, synced daily, feed a Sidebar chat for agents, which leads to Agent writes the reply; a dashed box below lists Not in the docs: past tickets, the open ticket, sending replies

The limits come from what the docs leave out. Nothing on the listing or the archived site says the bot reads the ticket in front of the agent, learns from past Zendesk tickets, uses macros, drafts into the reply box, or touches tags and fields. Guide articles are the only source named. That matters more than it sounds: from what I've seen on the eesel side, training on past tickets is the request that comes up on almost every sales call, because solved tickets hold the answers nobody ever wrote an article for.

The old features page also pitched an embeddable website widget that would cut "incoming tickets by up to 50%." That version never showed up as something you could buy, more on that below. So in practice, Zenbots is an agent assist tool, not a Zendesk chatbot that talks to customers.

What does Zenbots AI cost?

Here's where the sources stop agreeing with each other. The Zendesk listing labels Zenbots a "Free integration" with "Additional fees may apply." The install is free; the AI isn't. The live price comes from Zenbots' own Gumroad checkout, which still takes subscriptions.

The Zenbots Agent support checkout on Gumroad, showing a Monthly selector, a $111.03 a month price shown to a US visitor, the product description and a Subscribe button, as taken from Zenbots on Gumroad

The product is priced in euros; Gumroad converted it to $111.03 a month for my US-based capture. Here's the full table, built from the vendor's own pages:

Three things are worth knowing before you budget for it:

  • "Messages" isn't defined. Neither the checkout nor the archived pricing page says whether a message is one agent question, one bot answer, or both. If it's both, 2,500 messages is about 1,250 questions a month.
  • Overage adds up fast at volume. A team using 4,500 messages pays €99 plus €150 for the extra 2,000, so €249 a month, assuming whole blocks of 1,000.
  • Yearly saves €189. €999 a year against €1,188 for twelve monthly payments.

There's also a trial conflict. The archived homepage offered to let you "test it out free of charge for the 7 first days," but the Gumroad product has no free trial set up. And the €99 plan's button on the archived pricing page read "Get early access," which is an odd label for the only plan you could buy.

For comparison, Zendesk's pricing page lists Zendesk Copilot at $50 per agent per month paid yearly. A three-agent team pays $150 a month for Copilot versus roughly €99 for Zenbots, so Zenbots comes out cheaper from three agents up, as long as a help-center-only Q&A box is all you need. My Zendesk AI pricing guide has the full native cost picture.

Is Zenbots AI still active?

This is the section I'd read first if I were about to install it. Zenbots' public footprint has been shrinking for over a year, while the Zendesk listing and the checkout stayed up.

A hand-drawn timeline with six milestones: Dec 2023 site first archived, Aug 2024 99 euro pricing page, Oct 2024 last live homepage, Early 2025 archive gets errors, Apr 2025 app v0.7.2, and Oct 2026 domain parked marked with a Closed sign, with a bracket labelled Listing still live

Here's what I could check:

  • The website is parked. As of October 23, 2026, zenbots.ai and www.zenbots.ai resolve to a Sedo domain-parking server instead of the Zenbots site.
  • The last working homepage is from October 2024. The Internet Archive's last captured homepage dates to October 5, 2024. Captures from January to March 2025 return 403 and 404 errors.
  • The blog stayed small. The archived blog shows three posts, including a guide to an AI-optimised knowledge base.
  • The app itself was updated later. The listing shows version 0.7.2, last updated April 3, 2025, which is the most recent sign of life I found.
  • The install steps now dead-end. Step 2 on the listing tells you to visit zenbots.ai and select a plan. That page no longer exists, and support@zenbots.ai and info@zenbots.ai sit on the same parked domain.

None of this proves the bot has stopped working for existing customers. It could still be running quietly on a server somewhere. But a sidebar tool that reads your help center is a tool you trust with your Zendesk data, and the data privacy questions (who stores the article index, who to contact about deletion) are hard to answer when the vendor's domain has lapsed.

What do users say about Zenbots AI?

Very little is public. The Zendesk listing shows 5 stars from a single review with no written text, and the Gumroad page shows 0 ratings. I found no Zenbots discussion on Reddit, G2, Capterra, Trustpilot, X or LinkedIn. Searches for the name mostly turn up unrelated products that share it, such as hotel service robots and a kids' cartoon.

The only user voices are the testimonials Zenbots put on its own site, first names only. The homepage carried this one:

"Zenbots cut down our incoming support tickets by 27% and allowed us to handle more tickets in desired time window"

The site doesn't say which setup produced that number, and the customer-facing embed that would cut incoming tickets was marked coming soon, so I'd treat it as a vendor claim rather than a result you can plan around. The features page added "We went from zero to production in a couple of days!" from "Peter, Customer Support Director," which at least matches the 24-hour setup promise.

Zenbots AI pros and cons

Here's my honest tally from everything Zenbots published.

Pros

  • The setup is close to zero effort. Install, open the app, wait up to 24 hours.
  • It lives in the Zendesk agent workspace sidebar, so agents don't switch tabs to search Guide.
  • A flat €99 a month is cheaper than per-agent pricing once you have more than two agents.
  • Daily knowledge updates mean new articles get picked up without a manual re-sync.

Cons

  • The vendor website is a parked domain, and the support emails sit on it.
  • Guide articles are the only documented knowledge source. No past tickets, macros or external docs.
  • It answers agents only. It doesn't read the open ticket, draft the reply or update fields.
  • "Messages" isn't defined, so the 2,500 allowance is hard to plan around.
  • 5+ installs, 1 review and no public user discussion anywhere.

Who should use Zenbots AI?

I'd only consider it if you're already a Zenbots customer and it's still working for you. In that case, keep using it, but plan your exit now, because a tool with no reachable vendor can stop on any given Monday.

For anyone shopping fresh, there are safer ways to get the same job done. If you want a native option, Zendesk Copilot covers agent-side help, and Zendesk generative replies suggest answers from your help center.

My Zendesk AI agent vs Copilot post explains which does what, and Zendesk's pricing page bills AI agent resolutions beyond your allowance at $1.50 committed or $2.00 pay-as-you-go.

How eesel handles the same job in Zendesk

I'll be specific about what's different, since I see it from the support side every day. eesel is an AI helpdesk teammate that joins your Zendesk through the Zendesk integration. It learns from your help center, your past tickets, macros and connected docs.

Then it works the ticket itself: it drafts or sends the reply, writes internal note summaries, tags and triages tickets, and hands off to a person where it should.

The eesel dashboard activity view filtered to a Zendesk instance, listing resolved and pending conversations the AI teammate worked on
The eesel dashboard activity view filtered to a Zendesk instance, listing resolved and pending conversations the AI teammate worked on

Three Zendesk teams show how that plays out, each closer to a different piece of what Zenbots promised:

  • Called in from the sidebar, like Zenbots. At Adverscale, which runs several US passport application services from one Zendesk, an agent writes @eesel in an internal note and the teammate, Emily, picks it up. Between 8 August and 8 September 2026 she handled about 2,400 tickets, sent about 1,600 replies and left about 2,700 internal notes. Refunds always go to a person.
  • A draft on every ticket. Dokument 24, a Danish online legal documents company, gets a Danish draft reply and a product tag on each new ticket: about 680 tickets prepared in a month, answering from roughly 2,600 web pages and Zendesk items.
  • Lookups inside the ticket. At Cape Coffee Beans, the team called eesel in on 23 tickets in a month with an @eesel note, and the teammate ran about 120 searches across Zendesk history, the Shopify catalogue and Google Drive.

eesel costs more than Zenbots' sticker: eesel pricing starts at $299 a month for 500 credits, where a ticket or chat is 1 credit, after 100 free credits to test. If all you want is a Guide search box for agents, a native AI knowledge base search may be all you need. eesel fits when you want the AI to automate replies in Zendesk, not just answer questions about them.

My verdict on Zenbots AI

Zenbots.ai had a sensible idea: put a help-center-trained chatbot in the Zendesk sidebar, price it flat, and make setup a one-click job. But with a parked website, no defined message unit, 5+ installs and one review, I can't recommend paying €99 a month for it today. I'd give it 1.5 out of 5, and the score is mostly about vendor risk, not the bot.

If you want Zendesk AI with an active team and docs behind it, eesel plugs into Zendesk in a few minutes, learns from tickets you've already solved, and lets you simulate it on past tickets before it touches a live one. Frequently Asked Questions

What is Zenbots AI?

Zenbots.ai is a Zendesk Support app from a small team in Kraków, Poland. It trains on your Zendesk Guide articles and gives agents a chat box in the ticket sidebar to ask questions. It is an agent assist tool, not a customer-facing Zendesk chatbot.

How much does Zenbots AI cost?

The Zendesk listing says Free integration with additional fees. The paid plan on Zenbots' own Gumroad checkout is Agent support at €99 a month or €999 a year, with 2,500 messages included and €75 per extra 1,000. For context, see my Zendesk AI pricing guide.

Is Zenbots AI still supported?

I can't confirm it is. In October 2026 the zenbots.ai domain resolves to a domain-parking page, while the Zendesk listing (version 0.7.2, last updated April 3, 2025) and the Gumroad checkout are still live. I'd email the vendor before paying. My Zendesk Marketplace buyers guide covers what to check.

Is Zenbots AI good, according to reviews?

There is almost nothing to go on. The Zendesk listing shows 5 stars from 1 review and 5+ installs, and the Gumroad page shows 0 ratings. My best AI for Zendesk roundup covers tools with a longer public record.

Does Zenbots AI reply to customers in Zendesk?

No. The listing describes a sidebar chatbot for agents, so a person still writes and sends every reply. A customer-facing embed plan at €299 a month appeared on the old pricing page but was marked coming soon. For bots that answer customers, read my Zendesk AI agent review.

How does Zenbots AI compare to Zendesk Copilot?

Zendesk lists Copilot at $50 per agent per month paid yearly, built into the agent workspace with suggested replies and summaries. Zenbots is a flat €99 a month for a sidebar Q&A box trained on Guide articles. My Zendesk Copilot breakdown has the details.

What is a good Zenbots AI alternative for Zendesk?

If you want AI that works the ticket instead of answering questions about it, eesel's AI helpdesk teammate plugs into Zendesk, learns from past tickets and drafts or sends replies. Plans start at $299 a month for 500 credits after 100 free. More options in my Zendesk AI alternatives list.
