6 ChannelReply alternatives in 2026: swap the pipe or the helpdesk

The best ChannelReply alternative depends on which layer you want to replace. If you want one tool instead of a connector plus a helpdesk, pick eDesk for Amazon, eBay and Walmart (from $39 per agent a month, billed annually), Replyco if you're on Amazon, eBay and European marketplaces on a budget ($49 a month for 350 tickets, unlimited users), or 3Dsellers if eBay is your main store.
If your team lives in Gorgias, Zendesk or Freshdesk, there isn't a like-for-like pipe to swap in: Gorgias's own app directory points marketplace sellers to ChannelReply. So "alternative" there means changing the helpdesk, or changing who answers. For 3 agents and 500 conversations a month, I priced the options between $97 (Replyco) and $267 (eDesk Growth).
ChannelReply has no AI, and most marketplace questions are the same few. That's where eesel fits: it works the tickets inside the helpdesk ChannelReply already feeds. Question Beauty runs it on Gorgias, where it sent about 960 replies in a month and looked up about 290 Shopify orders before answering.
Open a line to see which ChannelReply alternative fits, from swapping the whole setup to adding AI on top of the one you have.
Why do sellers look for ChannelReply alternatives?
Most teams that search for a ChannelReply alternative aren't unhappy with what it does. It does one job and does it well: it pulls Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Etsy, Newegg, Back Market, WooCommerce and now TikTok Shop messages into the helpdesk you already use, with order data attached. According to ChannelReply's FAQ, replies to Amazon, eBay, Newegg and Walmart messages are posted back through each marketplace's own messaging system, so they count toward Amazon's 24-hour response requirement. That's the part a plain email forward can't do.

Its users mostly describe it the same way: set it up once, then forget it's there.
"Been using channelreply for a few years now, was quick and easy to configure, and our customer support team are hugely grateful that they can handle almost everything in zendesk."
So why look elsewhere? From the pricing page and FAQ, four reasons come up:
- Two bills instead of one. ChannelReply is $39, $79 or $199 a month ($31, $63 or $159 billed annually) for 200, 1,000 or 4,000 customer messages, and your helpdesk seats are on top. Some teams would rather pay one marketplace-native helpdesk.
- It bills per message received. Replies are free, but every buyer message counts, and so do some eBay and Back Market notifications unless you switch them off.
- Actions vary by helpdesk. The FAQ is clear that orders can't be cancelled from Gorgias, and refunds aren't available on Amazon, Etsy, Newegg, Mirakl, Octopia or TikTok tickets on any helpdesk.
- There's no AI. ChannelReply delivers the message and the order data. Your team still writes every reply, which I covered in my ChannelReply review.
One more thing worth knowing before you shop around: ChannelReply's homepage now carries Threecolts branding, and its pricing also lives at channelreply.threecolts.com. The product and prices are the same on both.
How I picked and priced these alternatives
I build the AI agents that work inside eesel customers' helpdesks, so a lot of my week is spent looking at what actually lands in a Zendesk or Gorgias queue after a connector has done its job. The first lesson is mechanical: a marketplace setup is three layers, not one tool. There's the pipe (messages in, replies out through the marketplace API), the inbox where agents work, and whoever writes the reply. Every "ChannelReply alternative" replaces a different layer, which is why a straight feature comparison gets confusing fast.

The second lesson came the hard way. An AI agent dropped onto a marketplace-fed queue with no filter will politely draft replies to system notifications and vendor pitches, because they look like tickets. That's why every rollout I work on now starts by deciding which ticket types should wake the agent at all. Innr, a smart lighting brand on Freshdesk, skips marketplace notifications, courier updates and review digests before eesel runs on anything.
For this roundup I checked each vendor's own pricing page, docs and marketplace list on October 28, 2026, and only included tools that publish real Amazon or eBay buyer messaging. Two names from search results didn't make it: ReplyManager now redirects to eDesk, which acquired it in 2015, and xSellco is eDesk's old name. To make prices comparable, I priced every option for one buyer: 3 agents, Amazon, eBay and Shopify, 500 conversations a month (about 1,000 buyer messages), billed annually.
ChannelReply alternatives at a glance
Here's the full comparison, with ChannelReply as the baseline row. Prices are from each vendor's own page on October 28, 2026.
| Tool | What it replaces | Marketplaces covered | Helpdesk included | Pricing model | Starting price | AI | Free trial | Support | Security (published) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ChannelReply (baseline) | Nothing, it's the pipe | Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Etsy, Newegg, Back Market, Mirakl, Octopia, TikTok Shop (US), WooCommerce, Shopify | No, needs Zendesk, Gorgias, Freshdesk, Help Scout, Re:amaze, Zoho Desk, Kustomer or Onsite Support | Per customer message received, unlimited users | $31/mo yearly (200 messages) | None | 14 days | Not stated on pages I checked | |
| eDesk | Pipe and inbox | Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Mirakl, Cdiscount, Kaufland, Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, WooCommerce and more ("300+") | Yes | Per agent, store limits by plan | $39/agent/mo yearly (1 store) | AI Agent $0.99 per outcome; AI Assist $30/agent | 14 days | 24/7 | Not stated on pages I checked |
| Replyco | Pipe and inbox | Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Kaufland, OTTO, Fruugo, Wish, Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento (no Walmart listed) | Yes | Per ticket (unlimited users) or per user | $9/mo (50 tickets) | Writing assistant, summaries, categorisation included | 7 days | Not stated | Not stated on pages I checked |
| 3Dsellers | Pipe and inbox | eBay, Amazon, Shopify, Etsy, social | Yes, as a $19/agent add-on | Plan by listings and eBay accounts, plus Helpdesk per agent | $16/mo yearly + $19/agent | AI actions: summarise, rephrase, draft | 7 days | 72h (Essential), 48h (Growth, Pro) | GDPR (privacy policy) |
| Gorgias | Inbox only | Shopify natively; marketplaces through ChannelReply | Yes | Per ticket, not per agent | $10/mo (50 tickets) | AI Agent add-on, priced per automated interaction | Yes, no card | Not compared | SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA |
| Zendesk | Inbox only | Marketplaces through a connector such as ChannelReply | Yes | Per agent | $19/agent/mo yearly | 5 automated resolutions/agent/mo, then $1.50 committed or $2.00 pay-as-you-go | 14 days | Not compared | SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI DSS |
| Freshdesk | Inbox only | Marketplaces through ChannelReply (Growth or above) | Yes | Per agent | $19/agent/mo yearly | Freddy AI Agent 500 sessions included, then $49 per 100 | Yes | Not compared | Not stated on pages I checked |
| eesel | The reply | Works on whatever your helpdesk receives | No, works inside your helpdesk | Credits: 1 ticket or chat = 1 credit | Free 100 credits, then $299/mo (500) | It is the AI: drafts or sends replies, tags, routes | 100 free credits | Not compared | SOC 2 Type II audit underway, HIPAA BAA on Enterprise |
The table makes one thing obvious: if you're on Zendesk, Gorgias or Freshdesk, none of the helpdesk options remove ChannelReply. Only the marketplace-native helpdesks do.
What does each option cost for one seller?
Per-message, per-ticket, per-agent and per-outcome prices can't be compared until they're priced for the same team, so here's my one buyer from above: 3 agents, Amazon, eBay and Shopify, 500 conversations and about 1,000 buyer messages a month, all on annual billing where it's offered.
| Setup | The maths | Monthly cost |
|---|---|---|
| Replyco M | $49 for 350 tickets + 150 extra × $0.32 | $97 |
| 3Dsellers Professional + Helpdesk | $59 plan + 3 agents × $19 | $116 |
| ChannelReply Pro + Zendesk Support Team | $63 + 3 × $19 | $120 |
| ChannelReply Pro + Freshdesk Growth | $63 + 3 × $19 | $120 |
| ChannelReply Pro + Gorgias Basic | $63 + $50 for 300 tickets + 200 extra × $0.40 | $193 |
| eDesk Growth | 3 agents × $89 (Essential allows only 1 store) | $267 |

Two caveats. First, I've assumed one conversation is one Replyco or Gorgias ticket, and that 3Dsellers needs Professional, the plan that adds multichannel and unlimited eBay accounts; confirm the Amazon side in the trial. Second, none of these numbers include AI. eDesk's AI Agent adds $0.99 per outcome, and on the ChannelReply setups the AI comes from the helpdesk or from a tool like eesel (500 credits is $299 a month). The cheapest row is not automatically the right one, since the cheapest setup still leaves your team typing every reply. Benchmarks for what a human-answered ticket costs are in my cost per ticket guide.
Path 1: move to a marketplace-native helpdesk
These three replace both layers ChannelReply sits in: the pipe and the inbox. You stop paying for a connector and a helpdesk separately, and your agents work in a tool that was built around marketplace rules like Amazon's response windows. The trade-off is migration: your macros, triggers and history live in the old helpdesk, and you leave the wider app ecosystem behind.
1. eDesk

Best for: multi-marketplace sellers, especially on Walmart, who want one inbox and one bill.
eDesk is the first tool ChatGPT recommends when you ask for a ChannelReply alternative, and for a seller replacing the whole setup it earns that spot. It's a helpdesk built for ecommerce: Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Mirakl, Cdiscount, Kaufland and the main webstores connect directly, and each ticket shows the order beside the message.
What it does
The eDesk pricing page lists every plan with a shared inbox, order and customer data sync, live chat, social messaging and rule-based automations. Growth adds SLA timers by marketplace, performance reporting and CSAT surveys. On top sits the AI Agent, which replies or takes an action for $0.99 per outcome, charged once per ticket however many messages it takes, and never when it does nothing. If you're coming from ReplyManager or xSellco, this is where those customers ended up.
"Customer Service, It saves a lot of time when I don't have to login to my amazon ebay accounts to respond to customers instead i have all those in this app at one place"
Pros
- The widest marketplace list of anything here, including Walmart, Mirakl and Kaufland.
- SLA timers per marketplace on Growth and above, which is the Amazon 24-hour rule handled for you.
- AI Agent is included on every plan, and you only pay when it acts.
- 24/7 support on every plan, and it holds 4.6 out of 5 from 83 reviews on G2.
Cons
- Per-agent pricing, so the bill grows with headcount, unlike ChannelReply's unlimited users.
- Store limits by plan: 1 on Essential, 5 on Growth, 10 on Professional.
- AI Assist (reply drafting for agents) and Translate are paid add-ons at $30 and $19 per agent.
- Price increases come up in reviews.
"The main downsides of using eDesk include high and escalating pricing but other than that, it's all good."
Pricing
| Plan | Billed annually | Billed monthly | Stores | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | $39/agent | $49/agent | 1 | Rule-based automations, live chat |
| Growth | $89/agent | $115/agent | 5 | SLA timers, reporting, CSAT |
| Professional | $119/agent | $149/agent | 10 | Custom dashboards, 2 read-only users |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Unlimited | Multi-brand workflows, account manager |
The AI Agent is $0.99 per outcome on every plan. The trial is 14 days in "Safe Mode", where you can connect channels without messages being sent. My eDesk pricing guide and eDesk alternatives roundup go deeper.
My take
Pick eDesk if Walmart or three-plus marketplaces matter and you're ready to leave your current helpdesk. Skip it if you have a large team on a cheap helpdesk, because per-agent pricing at $89 a seat adds up fast. The deciding factor is whether you'd rather own one tool or keep the helpdesk you've already built.
2. Replyco

Best for: small Amazon and eBay sellers, especially in Europe, who want unlimited seats at a low price.
Replyco is an ecommerce helpdesk, now part of comrce, that pulls Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Kaufland, OTTO, Fruugo and webstore messages into one inbox. It's the closest thing here to ChannelReply's pricing spirit: on ticket plans you pay for volume, not people.
What it does
Every plan on the Replyco pricing page includes the full feature set: order data sync, templates, an SLA tracker, automation rules, eBay case management (refunds and returns from the inbox), feedback management, live chat, WhatsApp, and AI tools for writing, summaries and categorisation. The plans only differ by included tickets and data retention. The integrations list is strong on European marketplaces, but it doesn't include Walmart.

Pros
- Cheapest one-tool setup in my worked example: $97 a month for 3 agents and 500 conversations.
- Unlimited users on ticket plans.
- AI writing, summaries and categorisation included on every plan.
- A strong European list: Kaufland, OTTO, Fruugo and Wish.
Cons
- No Walmart in the integration list.
- Data retention is 3 months on S and 6 on M, so ticket history ages out.
- Reviewers flag the move to subscription plus usage pricing.
"I'm also on a legacy plan that includes unlimited seats, which has been a huge benefit as our team has grown."
Pricing
| Plan | Price per month | Included | Extra |
|---|---|---|---|
| S (tickets) | 9 | 50 tickets, unlimited users | 0.32 per ticket |
| M (tickets) | 49 | 350 tickets, unlimited users | 0.32 per ticket |
| L (tickets) | 299 | 2,500 tickets, unlimited users | 0.30 per ticket |
| S / M / L (users) | 65 / 55 / 45 per user | Unlimited tickets, for 1-3 / 4-7 / 8-15 users | 16+ users: contact |
Replyco charges the same number in euros, dollars or pounds. The trial is 7 days.
My take
Pick Replyco if you're a small team selling on Amazon, eBay and European marketplaces and you want the lowest bill with seats that don't cost extra. Skip it if Walmart is part of your mix, or if you need more than six months of searchable history without paying for L.
3. 3Dsellers

Best for: eBay-first sellers who also want listing, offer and feedback tools in the same subscription.
3Dsellers isn't a helpdesk company that added eBay. It's an eBay seller suite (listings, offers, auto messages, feedback reminders) with a helpdesk bolted on as a paid add-on. That makes it the odd one out here, and also a bargain if you'd otherwise buy those eBay tools separately.
What it does
The 3Dsellers helpdesk brings Amazon, eBay, Shopify, Etsy and social messages into one inbox, with order and buyer details beside each ticket, templates, an auto responder, reply countdown timers, and order actions like returns, refunds and cancellations. AI actions can summarise a ticket, rephrase your reply or draft one from scratch. Per the pricing FAQ, reading and replying to buyer messages inside 3Dsellers needs the Helpdesk add-on at $19 per agent a month.
Pros
- One subscription for eBay listings, offers, feedback and support.
- Helpdesk add-on is cheap at $19 per agent.
- Order actions (returns, refunds, cancellations) from the ticket.
Cons
- Plans are sized by listings and eBay accounts, which has nothing to do with support volume.
- Walmart appears only as a beta catalog channel on Professional, not in the helpdesk channel list.
- Support response targets are 72 hours on Essential and 48 hours on Growth and Professional.
Pricing
| Plan | Billed annually | Billed monthly | Listings | eBay accounts | Teammates |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | $16 | $19 | 100 | 1 | 1 |
| Growth | $29.90 | $39.90 | 500 | 2 | 2 |
| Professional | $59 | $79 | 2,000 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
Add Helpdesk at $19 per agent a month on any plan. AI Bulk Actions ($9 to $29 a month) are for listings, not support. The trial is 7 days with no card.
My take
Pick 3Dsellers if eBay is most of your revenue and you'd use its listing tools anyway. Skip it if Amazon or Walmart drive most of your tickets, because the product is built around eBay first.
Path 2: keep ChannelReply, change the helpdesk
If the pipe works and your frustration is with the inbox itself (seat costs, reporting, Shopify depth), these are the helpdesks marketplace sellers most often pair with ChannelReply. Be clear on what you're buying: you still pay for ChannelReply on all three. ChannelReply supports one helpdesk per account, and your Zendesk triggers, macros and tags need rebuilding when you move.
4. Gorgias

Best for: Shopify-first brands whose marketplaces are a side channel.
Gorgias is the helpdesk most DTC brands on Shopify end up on, and its own ChannelReply listing is honest about the marketplace side: Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Etsy, Back Market and Newegg come in through ChannelReply, from $39 a month. So Gorgias is an alternative to your current helpdesk, not to ChannelReply.
What it does
Gorgias puts Shopify order editing, refunds and cancellations inside the ticket, and its pricing page bills by ticket volume, never per agent. The AI Agent is an add-on priced by automated interactions. With ChannelReply connected, marketplace tickets sit next to Shopify ones, though ChannelReply's own Shopify integration isn't available on Gorgias and orders can't be cancelled from Gorgias through it, per the ChannelReply FAQ.

Pros
- The deepest Shopify actions of any helpdesk here.
- No per-agent pricing, so adding people doesn't change the bill.
- SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA on its security page.
Cons
- Marketplace messages still need ChannelReply, so you keep two bills.
- Overage on Basic is $40 per 100 tickets, which pushed my worked example to $193.
- Marketplace order actions are thinner than on Zendesk or Freshdesk through ChannelReply.
Pricing
| Plan | Billed annually | Billed monthly | Tickets per month | Overage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | Monthly only | $10 | 50 | $0.40 per ticket |
| Basic | $50 | $60 | 300 | $40 per 100 |
| Pro | $300 | $360 | 2,000 | $36 per 100 |
| Advanced | $750 | $900 | 5,000 | $36 per 100 |
Those are helpdesk-only prices; the AI Agent costs extra. My Gorgias AI Agent pricing guide covers that add-on, and the Freshdesk vs Gorgias comparison helps if you're torn.
My take
Pick Gorgias if Shopify is your main store and marketplaces are a smaller slice. Skip it if marketplaces are most of your volume, because you'll pay for ticket volume in Gorgias and message volume in ChannelReply for the same conversations.
5. Zendesk

Best for: larger or mixed teams that need mature routing, reporting and a big app ecosystem.
Zendesk is the default general helpdesk, and ChannelReply works on every Zendesk plan. If you're moving off a lighter helpdesk because you've outgrown it, Zendesk plus ChannelReply is the safe, well-documented setup. Its ChannelReply listing in the Zendesk Marketplace shows 1,000+ installs.
What it does
Zendesk gives you ticketing, triggers, automations, macros and reporting from Support Team up. Suite Team adds AI agents, a knowledge base, messaging and omnichannel routing. AI is billed per automated resolution: each plan includes 5 per agent a month (10 on Suite Professional), then $1.50 committed or $2.00 pay-as-you-go, per the Zendesk pricing page.
Pros
- Support Team at $19 per agent is one of the cheapest seats ChannelReply supports.
- The richest app marketplace of the three, including the best Zendesk apps for ecommerce.
- SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, HIPAA and PCI DSS on its trust center.
Cons
- Per-agent pricing climbs quickly on Suite plans ($55 to $115 a seat yearly).
- AI resolutions are metered on top of seats.
- Ecommerce actions depend on apps, not the core product.
Pricing
| Plan | Billed annually | Billed monthly | AI resolutions included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Support Team | $19/agent | $25/agent | 5 per agent a month |
| Suite Team | $55/agent | $69/agent | 5 per agent a month |
| Suite Professional | $115/agent | $149/agent | 10 per agent a month |
The trial is 14 days. My full Zendesk pricing and Zendesk AI pricing guides break down the rest, and my Zendesk review covers fit.
My take
Pick Zendesk if you need serious routing and reporting across many agents and channels. Skip it if you're a small marketplace seller, since you'd be paying for a general helpdesk and a connector when one of the Path 1 tools does both.
6. Freshdesk

Best for: budget-conscious teams that want a full helpdesk with some AI included in the seat.
Freshdesk is the value pick among the general helpdesks. ChannelReply needs Freshdesk Growth or above, and Growth is $19 per agent a month billed annually, the same seat price as Zendesk Support Team but with an AI agent allowance included.
What it does
Every plan on the Freshdesk pricing page includes Freddy AI Agent with the first 500 sessions, then $49 per 100 sessions. Pro adds custom dashboards, multiple SLA policies and the option of Freddy AI Copilot at $29 per agent a month. Three of the ChannelReply Trustpilot reviews I read come from Freshdesk teams.
"ChannelReply has worked great at filling out the missing functionality in Freshdesk and it's been a huge time saver having eBay messages in a threaded format so our reps can easily see the customer's previous replies as well as our responses."
Pros
- $19 per agent with 500 AI agent sessions included.
- Full ChannelReply order actions, unlike Gorgias.
- Clear upgrade path to Pro and Enterprise.
Cons
- Marketplace messages still need ChannelReply.
- Copilot (agent-side drafting) is a $29 per agent add-on, and only from Pro.
- AI sessions beyond 500 are $49 per 100.
Pricing
| Plan | Billed annually | AI included | Add-ons |
|---|---|---|---|
| Growth | $19/agent | Freddy AI Agent, 500 sessions | Extra sessions $49 per 100 |
| Pro | $55/agent | Freddy AI Agent, 500 sessions | Copilot $29/agent |
| Enterprise | $89/agent | Freddy AI Agent, 500 sessions | Copilot $29/agent |
See my Freshdesk pricing, Freddy AI pricing and Freshdesk review for the details.
My take
Pick Freshdesk if you want the lowest per-seat price with ChannelReply's full order actions. Skip it if you'd rather not run two vendors, in which case Replyco or eDesk is the cleaner move.
Path 3: keep the pipe, add AI on the tickets
Here's the option most roundups miss. A lot of teams searching for a ChannelReply alternative don't have a pipe problem; they have a volume problem. ChannelReply gets every marketplace into one queue, and that queue is mostly the same few questions: where's my order, can I return this, can I change my address. On one of eesel's sales calls this year, an ops lead at a DTC supplements brand doing about 7,000 Gorgias tickets a month said the team couldn't keep up and needed at least half the email volume answered without a person. Swapping the connector wouldn't have changed that.
eesel

Best for: teams happy with ChannelReply and their helpdesk who want the replies written for them.
To be upfront: eesel isn't a marketplace connector, and it won't replace ChannelReply. It's an AI helpdesk teammate that joins the Gorgias, Zendesk, Freshdesk or Help Scout account ChannelReply already feeds, and answers the tickets that arrive there. That's the layer nothing else in Path 2 covers without a paid AI add-on.
What it does
eesel learns from your past tickets, macros and help center, connects to Shopify for order lookups, and either leaves a draft as an internal note or replies itself on the ticket types you trust it with. The ChannelReply order fields on the ticket are context it can read. Three published setups show the range:
- Question Beauty runs it on Gorgias and Shopify. In a month it handled about 990 tickets, sent about 960 replies itself, looked up about 290 Shopify orders and closed about 280 tickets without a person. Refunds and complaints go to the team.
- STIL Classics keeps a person in the loop on Gorgias: eesel prepared about 320 tickets in a month, left about 430 draft replies as internal notes and checked about 230 Shopify orders before drafting.
- Innr runs it on Freshdesk in Dutch, German, English and French, with marketplace and courier notifications filtered out before it wakes.
You can test it against past tickets before it touches a live customer, which is the step I'd never skip on a marketplace queue. For setup detail, see how AI drafts replies in Zendesk or Freshdesk.
Pros
- Keeps your current pipe, helpdesk, macros and reporting.
- Works on order tracking and returns questions with real Shopify data.
- Replies in the customer's language, which matters on cross-border marketplaces.
- No per-seat fees.
Cons
- Not a connector: you still need ChannelReply or a marketplace helpdesk to get messages in.
- Not available inside eDesk, Replyco or 3Dsellers; there, use their own AI.
- A credit is used for every ticket it works, resolved or not, so filter out notifications first.
Pricing
| Plan | Credits a month | Price per month |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 100 (to try everything) | $0 |
| Teammate | 500 | $299 |
| Teammate | 1,000 | $499 |
| Teammate | 2,000 | $849 |
| Teammate | 5,000 | $1,749 |
A ticket or chat is 1 credit however many replies it takes. Optional overage is $0.80 per credit with a cap you set, per eesel pricing.
My take
Pick eesel if ChannelReply and your helpdesk work and the real problem is that people are typing the same answers all day. Skip it if you're about to move to eDesk, where the built-in AI Agent covers this job.
Which ChannelReply alternative should you pick?
Here's where I'd land for the most common situations:
- You sell on Walmart and two or more other marketplaces: eDesk. It's the only option here with Walmart, SLA timers and AI in one tool.
- You're a small Amazon and eBay seller in Europe: Replyco. Unlimited users and $49 for 350 tickets is hard to beat.
- eBay is your business: 3Dsellers, for the listing and feedback tools as much as the inbox.
- You're a Shopify brand with marketplaces on the side: keep ChannelReply, run Gorgias. My Gorgias alternatives roundup covers the rest.
- You need heavyweight routing for a big team: Zendesk plus ChannelReply.
- Your setup works, your team is drowning: keep everything and add eesel on the tickets. The ecommerce helpdesk guide and my list of Shopify customer service apps are good next reads.
The pattern across all of them: decide which layer is failing before you migrate anything. Teams that move helpdesks to fix a reply-volume problem end up with the same backlog in a new tool, and the same goes for chasing WISMO tickets with a new connector.
Try eesel on your marketplace tickets
If ChannelReply already gets your Amazon, eBay and Walmart messages into Gorgias, Zendesk or Freshdesk, the cheapest upgrade isn't a new pipe. It's a teammate that answers what comes through it. eesel joins your helpdesk, learns from your past replies and macros, checks the Shopify order, and drafts or sends the answer, the way it does for Question Beauty on Gorgias. Start with 100 free credits, run it against your past marketplace tickets, and only switch on sending when the drafts look right.
Try eesel free, or read more about the Gorgias integration.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the best ChannelReply alternatives?
It depends on which part you want to replace. eDesk, Replyco and 3Dsellers replace both the connector and the helpdesk with one marketplace inbox. Gorgias, Zendesk and Freshdesk replace the helpdesk but still use ChannelReply for marketplace messages. eesel replaces the typing: it works the tickets inside your multi-channel help desk.
Is there a cheaper alternative to ChannelReply?
For a small team, Replyco is the cheapest one-tool option I found: its M plan is $49 a month for 350 tickets plus $0.32 per extra ticket, with unlimited users. For 3 agents and 500 conversations a month that's about $97, against $120 for ChannelReply Pro plus Zendesk Support Team. My ChannelReply pricing breakdown shows where each ChannelReply tier tops out.
Does Gorgias need ChannelReply for Amazon and eBay messages?
Yes. Gorgias's own app directory lists ChannelReply as the way to support Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Etsy, Back Market and Newegg customers inside Gorgias. ChannelReply's Shopify integration isn't available on Gorgias, because Gorgias handles Shopify itself. If you want AI on those tickets, eesel's Gorgias integration drafts or sends replies.
Can Zendesk receive Amazon and eBay messages without ChannelReply?
Not without a connector app of some kind. ChannelReply is the usual one, listed in the Zendesk Marketplace, and every Zendesk plan works with it. The alternative is moving marketplace support to a marketplace-native helpdesk like eDesk. My Zendesk pricing guide covers the seat costs either way.
Is eDesk better than ChannelReply?
They do different jobs. ChannelReply is a connector that feeds a helpdesk you already pay for, from $31 a month billed annually. eDesk is the helpdesk itself, from $39 per agent a month billed annually, with an AI Agent billed at $0.99 per outcome. eDesk wins if you want one tool; ChannelReply wins if you're happy in Zendesk or Gorgias. See my eDesk pricing guide for the full plan list.
Which ChannelReply alternative supports Walmart?
eDesk is the clearest one: its pricing page lists Amazon, eBay and Walmart among the stores you can connect. Replyco's integration list doesn't include Walmart, and 3Dsellers lists Walmart as a beta catalog channel rather than a helpdesk channel. If Walmart matters, also read my guide to marketplace support.
Do any ChannelReply alternatives use AI to answer marketplace messages?
Yes. eDesk's AI Agent replies or takes an action for $0.99 per outcome, Replyco includes an AI writing assistant and summaries on every plan, and 3Dsellers has AI actions in its helpdesk. ChannelReply itself has no AI, so on Zendesk, Gorgias or Freshdesk the AI comes from the helpdesk side, for example eesel's Zendesk integration.
How much do ChannelReply alternatives cost for a small team?
For 3 agents, Amazon, eBay and Shopify, and 500 conversations a month on annual billing, I priced Replyco at $97, 3Dsellers Professional plus Helpdesk at $116, ChannelReply plus Zendesk or Freshdesk at $120, ChannelReply plus Gorgias at $193 and eDesk Growth at $267. Compare those with typical cost per ticket figures before you decide.
