TL;DR

I give Adelante AI 3.5 out of 5. It is a done-for-you AI support agent for Shopify, WooCommerce and Magento brands on Zendesk or Gorgias, and its strength is that it finishes the order action: it checks the live order, runs the request past your rules, then completes the return, exchange or address edit and logs it in your helpdesk. Adelante's team builds it in a 10-day launch and keeps tuning it every week.

What holds the score back: the entry price is $900 a month for 5,000 AI replies (about $0.54 to $0.90 per ticket), the only public user reviews are 6 five-star ratings on the Shopify App Store, and you do not run the agent yourself. That last point is the whole pitch, so it is a strength or a limit depending on your team.

Pick Adelante if your queue is mostly order tracking, returns and exchanges and nobody has time to own an AI agent. If you would rather set the rules yourself and pay per ticket, eesel's helpdesk teammate does the same order check inside Zendesk or Gorgias from $299 a month, and Question Beauty uses it to handle 990 Gorgias tickets a month.

Adelante AI review: my verdict at a glance

I build integrations at eesel, the code that lets an AI agent read a Shopify order and act on a Zendesk ticket, so I read Adelante the way I would read a pull request: what does it connect to, what is it allowed to change, and who fixes it when it breaks. On those three questions Adelante gives better answers than most vendors in this space.

That view also comes from scars. In a real-traffic trial on a German jewelry brand's Zendesk and Shopify inbox (about 1,000 tickets a month, 8 languages), agents sent only 12% of AI drafts as-is. Most rewrites were about length and tone, but about 20% of them needed data the AI could not see, like warehouse and logistics systems. The lesson: an agent is only as good as what it is connected to and who keeps tuning it. Adelante has built its whole product around that lesson.

What is Adelante AI?

Adelante is a managed AI support agent for ecommerce brands. Managed is the key word: you do not buy a bot builder and configure it. Adelante's team connects your helpdesk and store, trains the agent on your policies, launches it, then reviews its conversations and ships fixes every week.

The company is older than its AI product. Adelante's about page dates it to 2018, and its Zendesk Marketplace profile describes a team of Zendesk and ecommerce CX experts who spent years implementing Zendesk before building their own agent. It holds Zendesk's Premier Implementation Partner and Premier Solution Partner badges. The Shopify app, listed as "Zendesk AI Agent By Adelante" by Adelante LTD of Tel Aviv, launched on April 13, 2026.

That background shows in the product. It feels like it was designed by people who have lived inside Zendesk and Gorgias queues: everything is logged to the ticket, handoffs carry context, and the agent is scoped to the actions a support lead already does by hand.

What can the Adelante agent actually do?

Adelante's product overview splits the agent into four jobs: resolve, sell, hand off and improve. Here is what each one means in practice, and where I think it matters.

Resolve order requests end to end

This is the headline feature. When a customer asks to change their address, the agent verifies who they are, checks the live Shopify order, confirms the change fits your rules, updates it, and tells the customer it is done. The same flow covers WISMO (where is my order), returns, exchanges, cancellations, reships and damaged items.

The integration detail that makes this work is in the Shopify app's data access list. It asks to view customers and products and to edit orders, including returns, fulfillments and order edits. That scope is what separates an agent that can handle refunds and returns from one that can only describe your return policy. If you are weighing tools for this, my guide on how to automate returns covers what to check.

Sell after the problem is solved

Once the support question is closed, the agent can recommend products by preference, stock and cart context, and attribute the resulting order in your store. The Shopify listing also mentions visual product search, such as matching necklaces from a customer photo. Most support agents ignore this; for a brand where support chats often turn into "what size should I get?", it is a real plus.

Hand off with context

When a ticket needs judgment, the agent passes it to your team in the same thread with the request, the checked order details and a suggested next step attached. Adelante routes refund amounts above your threshold, VIP customers, fraud signals and policy exceptions to a person automatically. That matches what I'd call good handoff practice: the human never rebuilds the story.

Guardrails you approve

The control page is where Adelante answers the "what is it allowed to do?" question, and it answers it well.

Adelante's control page headed Autonomy, within limits you set, explaining that you approve what the agent can say and do and every action is logged to your helpdesk, as taken from Adelante

  • Approved actions: the agent can only take actions you have signed off, such as refunds within limits.
  • Escalation rules: thresholds and exceptions route to a human, as in any sound escalation setup.
  • Draft-only mode: for sensitive flows the agent prepares the reply or action and a person approves it first.
  • Helpdesk logging: every conversation, decision and action lands in Zendesk or Gorgias.
  • Scoped access: connections use workflow-scoped permissions.

On security, Adelante's security page lists ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and HIPAA support, AWS hosting, EU data residency on request, and a zero-retention approach where customer messages are erased after processing.

Faro, the AI engineer in Slack

Faro is the most interesting thing Adelante has shipped. It is an AI "forward deployed engineer" that sits in your Slack, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp or iMessage channel. You tell it the bot got something wrong, and it reads the conversation, finds the cause, proposes a fix, and replays the failing ticket to prove the fix works. It can change the agent's instructions and write integration code, which goes to your engineers as a pull request. Nothing goes live until someone on your team says yes.

As someone who writes order-lookup integrations, I liked the example on its page: an agent that only searched the US store and told EU customers their orders did not exist. That is exactly the kind of bug that hides for weeks. Faro is included with the managed service, and sold separately in Silver, Gold and Platinum plans priced after a free review.

Channels and integrations

The agent covers email, chat, WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook messaging, and the Shopify listing adds SMS. The core stack is Zendesk, Gorgias or Freshdesk on the helpdesk side and Shopify, WooCommerce or Magento on the store side. Adelante's integrations page lists 50+ tools across shipping (ShipBob, AfterShip, UPS), payments (Stripe, Klarna), reviews (Trustpilot, Yotpo) and CRM (Klaviyo, HubSpot), and says it can connect any platform with an API.

One honest caveat from the builder's side: a listed integration and a deep one are different things. The Shopify listing names 7 "works with" tools, while the integrations page names more than 50. Ask on your kickoff call which of your tools the agent will actually read from and act in.

How does Adelante setup work?

Adelante quotes 10 days from kickoff to a live agent, and the work is split very unevenly, which is the point.

Hand-drawn split of who does the work in an Adelante rollout: Adelante's team maps flows and connects tools, trains on your policies, tests real ticket paths and runs weekly QA; your team approves rules and actions, reviews handoffs and spends 2 to 3 hours at launch; live in 10 days

The 10-day launch, per Adelante's launch page:

  1. Days 1 to 3, map and connect. Adelante maps your support flows and connects your helpdesk, store, shipping and policy sources.
  2. Days 4 to 7, train and test. It trains the agent on your policies, macros and brand voice, then tests it against real ticket paths, not synthetic demos.
  3. Days 8 to 10, launch and monitor. The agent goes live with monitoring, handoff rules and tuning from real conversations.

What you hand over, per the pricing FAQ: admin access to your helpdesk and store, your policy pages, 30 to 50 sample tickets and one point person. The kickoff call is 45 minutes, and Adelante says to plan on 2 to 3 hours of your time across the launch.

You do not have to switch on everything at once. In Adelante's Outlier Group case study, the team started with about 10% of tickets, checked the replies, then moved to 20%, 30% and up. That is how I'd roll out any agent, and it is the right way to test an AI agent before it touches your whole queue.

After launch, Adelante runs what it calls the improve loop: reviewing conversations and CSAT, reading every handover for missing context, and shipping policy and catalog updates as your store changes.

How much does Adelante AI cost?

Adelante sells one managed plan priced by AI messages, where one message is one agent reply. Prices below are from Adelante's pricing page, checked on 2026-10-27.

Monthly AI messagesPrice per monthOverage per extra messageCost per ticket at 3 to 5 replies
5,000$900$0.18$0.54 to $0.90
10,000$1,499$0.15$0.45 to $0.75
25,000$2,999$0.12$0.36 to $0.60

Above $4,000 a monthScoped on a callNot publishedNot published

There is no setup fee, no free trial on the site, and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Billing is monthly by card, and overage lands on the next month's invoice at your plan's own rate.

Two other official storefronts disagree with that page. The Gorgias app listing says $800 a month for 5,000 messages, and the Shopify listing shows a Free plan with 2,000 AI messages (answers only, one language), a 14-day trial, and $9,000 a year for the Managed plan. I walk through the per-ticket math, the conflicts and a calculator in my full Adelante AI pricing breakdown.

What do users say about Adelante?

Not many people have said anything in public yet. The Shopify App Store listing has 6 reviews, all 5 stars: 5 from stores in Israel and 1 from the UK. The themes are consistent: the agent sounds like the brand, onboarding is hands-on, and Adelante responds quickly to changes.

Shopify

"They trained the AI on our specific product language and brand voice and with the specifics that our category requires. It picks up on our nuances in a way customers keep asking "is this an AI or a real person?""

Shopify

"Very supportive on-boarding process with lots of advice offered to support our existing SOPs. Quick to respond to updates or changes we require."

Shopify

"We built our AI customer service agent together with Tamir, and the results have been truly outstanding."

Two other reviewers give numbers: ecoLove says the bot cut inquiries forwarded to live agents by over 85% in its first month, and a women's fashion retailer reports at least 50% fewer inquiries after one week. Keep in mind the "time using the app" labels are odd for a managed service: one reviewer shows 9 minutes and another 4 days, which tells you more about when the app was installed than about how long they have been customers.

The Zendesk Marketplace profile shows 48 reviews, but the ones visible are 3 or more years old and praise Adelante's Zendesk implementation work, before the AI agent existed. They speak to the team's Zendesk skill, not to the agent. I found no Adelante reviews on G2, Capterra, Trustpilot or Reddit.

Adelante's own results are bigger: Outlier Group at 80%+ of tickets resolved with Trustpilot up from 3.5 to 4.2, and the product page claims under 10 seconds to first response and 95% CSAT. Those are vendor-reported, so treat them as a target to test against with your own AI resolution rate, not a promise.

What are Adelante's limits?

None of these are dealbreakers on their own. They are the things I would want to know before a kickoff call.

  • You don't drive the agent. Changes go through Adelante's team or Faro, and you approve them. That suits a busy team; it frustrates a team that likes to tweak a prompt at 11pm and see the result. Adelante says plainly that it is not built for teams that want to build and operate the agent themselves.
  • The price floor is $900. For a store doing 300 tickets a month, that is $3 per ticket. The Shopify Free plan is the exception, but it covers answers only, in one language, with no order actions.
  • The billing unit is a reply, not a ticket. Long threads cost more. Returns and exchanges, where the agent verifies, checks, confirms and reports back, sit at the top of the 3 to 5 replies-per-ticket range.
  • Public proof is thin. Six Shopify reviews and vendor case studies are a small base for a decision this size. Ask for a reference customer at your volume and on your helpdesk.
  • Prices differ across storefronts. $900 on the site, $800 on Gorgias, a yearly option on Shopify only. Confirm in writing which one you are buying.
  • Above $4,000 a month there is no public price. Larger stores go to a scoping call.

Who is Adelante AI a good fit for?

Adelante fits a specific store well and other stores less well. Here is how I'd split it.

Pick Adelante if:

  • Your queue is dominated by order status, returns, exchanges and address changes on Shopify, WooCommerce or Magento.
  • You run Zendesk or Gorgias and want the agent to act inside it, not beside it.
  • Nobody on your team has time to own an AI agent, and you would rather pay for an operator than hire one.
  • You handle roughly 200 to 20,000 tickets a month, which is the range Adelante's own fit guide names.

Skip Adelante if:

  • You want to write the instructions and adjust the agent yourself.
  • Your volume is small enough that $900 a month is more than a part-time hire.
  • You need a long list of independent reviews before you sign.

If you are still comparing, my lists of Gorgias AI agent alternatives and Zendesk AI alternatives cover the wider field, and my Zendesk AI agent review covers the native option.

For other ecommerce-focused agents, see my Yuma AI review and Siena AI review.

How does Adelante compare with eesel?

The two products agree on the hard part: an agent has to check the order before it answers, and it has to work inside the helpdesk you already use. They disagree on who runs it.

On software alone, eesel is cheaper at every size where both publish a price, because a ticket is one credit. But Adelante's price includes the people, and that has real value if you do not have them. Prices for eesel are on eesel pricing, and I go deeper on the self-serve side in eesel vs Gorgias AI and eesel vs Zendesk AI.

Three eesel customers show what the run-it-yourself version looks like on an ecommerce stack:

  • Question Beauty runs eesel on Gorgias and Shopify. In a month it handled 990 tickets, sent 960 replies itself, looked up 290 Shopify orders and closed 280 tickets without a person.
  • STIL Classics wants a person to check every reply, so eesel prepares 320 Gorgias tickets a month as drafts, after looking up 230 Shopify orders.
  • Nordbutiker sells light electric vehicles in 4 countries and runs one bot per brand, trained on each store's site and its Zendesk tickets.

The STIL Classics setup is the closest match to Adelante's draft-only mode, except the person setting the rules sits on STIL's own team. If you want to see the drafting flow on Zendesk, my guide to AI draft replies in Zendesk walks through it.

Try eesel on your Zendesk or Gorgias queue

If Adelante's idea appeals to you, an agent that checks the Shopify order and then finishes the job, but you want to hold the controls, eesel's helpdesk teammate works that way. Connect Zendesk or Gorgias plus Shopify, choose which tickets it handles, and decide per trigger whether it replies or leaves a draft for your team.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Adelante AI?

Adelante AI is a managed AI support agent for Shopify, WooCommerce and Magento brands. Its team builds, launches and runs the agent inside your Zendesk or Gorgias, where it checks the order and completes returns, exchanges and address edits within rules you approve. It is an alternative to running an AI agent yourself.

Is Adelante AI any good?

In my Adelante AI review I score it 3.5 out of 5. The order actions, guardrails and 10-day launch are strong, while the $900 entry price, the small public review base and the limited hands-on control hold it back. Measure it against your own resolution rate during the 30-day money-back window.

How much does Adelante AI cost?

Adelante's pricing page lists $900 a month for 5,000 AI messages, $1,499 for 10,000 and $2,999 for 25,000, with one message being one agent reply. A ticket usually takes 3 to 5 replies. My Adelante AI pricing breakdown converts that into cost per ticket.

Does Adelante AI work with Zendesk and Gorgias?

Yes. Adelante is a Zendesk Premier Partner with a native Zendesk app, and it has a listing in the Gorgias app store. It also names Freshdesk as a supported helpdesk. Every conversation and action is logged back to the helpdesk, as with the eesel Zendesk integration.

How long does Adelante take to set up?

Adelante quotes 10 days from kickoff to a live agent: mapping and connecting on days 1 to 3, training and testing on days 4 to 7, and launch with monitoring on days 8 to 10. Your team spends about 2 to 3 hours across that window, mostly approving rules, as in any AI agent test plan.

Does Adelante AI have a free trial?

Adelante's own pricing page says there is no free trial and offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. Its Shopify App Store listing shows a Free plan with 2,000 AI messages and a 14-day trial on the Managed plan, so ask which applies. eesel has a free plan with 100 credits.

What are the best Adelante AI alternatives?

If you want a self-serve agent on Gorgias or Zendesk, look at eesel, plus my reviews of Yuma AI and Siena AI. If you want the whole support function run for you, eesel Managed Support is the done-for-you option.

Is Adelante AI secure?

Adelante's security page lists ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and HIPAA support, AWS hosting and a zero-retention approach for customer messages. Its Shopify app asks to view customers and edit orders, which is what lets it complete exchanges, so put those scopes through your usual AI guardrails review.
