Zellor pricing 2026: plans, overage and the real Gorgias cost

Zellor costs $0 for 50 chats, $99 a month for 250, or $399 a month for 1,000, with Enterprise on a custom quote. Every extra chat is $0.40 on both paid plans, extra video plays are $12 per 1,000 on Starter and $10 on Growth, and annual billing takes 15% off.
The number most pricing pages won't do for you: Starter plus overage reaches Growth's $399 at exactly 1,000 chats, and at about 775 chats if your shoppers watch 10,000 videos a month. So chat count barely decides your plan. What decides it is whether you need the Gorgias or Klaviyo integration, which only come with Growth, and how much video gets played.
If you're on Gorgias, also price the other half of the job. Zellor's AI answers on the product page; the order, returns and refund tickets in your Gorgias inbox are a separate cost. That's where eesel fits, at one credit per ticket from $299 for 500, and beauty brand Question Beauty runs it on about 990 Gorgias tickets a month.
How much does Zellor cost?
Zellor's pricing page lists four plans in USD, billed monthly, with a 15% saving on annual billing and one free trial per store. Brand-voice training, an unlimited video library and creator content import come with every plan, so you're choosing on volume, integrations and setup help, not features.

| Plan | Price | Traffic band | Chats included | Video plays included | Integrations and help | Extra chats | Extra video plays |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Any store size | 50 a month | 500 a month | Self-serve setup | None, upgrade at the limit | None |
| Starter | $99/month | Up to 10k monthly sessions | 250 | 2,500 | Self-serve setup, 30-day free trial | $0.40 each | $12 per 1,000 |
| Growth | $399/month | 10k to 30k monthly sessions | 1,000 | 10,000 | Klaviyo and Gorgias integrations, setup call, 30-day free trial | $0.40 each | $10 per 1,000 |
| Enterprise | Custom | 30k+ monthly sessions | Agreed | Agreed | Advanced Signals, custom guided shopping, custom integrations, dedicated onboarding, named customer success manager | Agreed rates | Agreed rates |
All three self-serve plans include the AI Shopping Assistant, PDP Shoppable Video and a weekly Signals report. I re-checked the page on October 27, 2026, and the prices match what my Zellor review found earlier the same day.
I've worked on SEO for two years, and "X pricing" searches have a pattern: people want the sticker, but the thing that decides the purchase is what the bill looks like once the meters run. eesel has also spent years putting AI on live support queues, so I read a per-chat price list the way a support lead does: where does the volume come from, and which part of it does this tool not touch? That's the lens for the rest of this post.
What counts as a chat and a video play?
Zellor bills on two meters, and you should model both.
A chat is a shopper conversation with the AI Shopping Assistant. Zellor's own page says to pick a plan by "how many conversations you need", and the Shopify App Store listing uses "conversations" for the same unit. The listing also says recurring and usage-based charges are billed every 30 days through Shopify.
A video play is a view of one of your clips, inside a chat answer or in a shoppable carousel on a product page. Zellor's assistant answers questions with clips from your own tutorials and creator content, and PDP Shoppable Video puts carousels on product, collection and home pages. A store that leans on video can burn through plays much faster than chats.
Two more details matter:
- Free has a hard stop. The page says to "upgrade to continue using Zellor after you have reached your limits." There's no pay-as-you-go on Free, so a busy weekend can switch the assistant off until you move up.
- Sessions set a band, not a meter. Each plan lists a monthly session range: up to 10k for Starter, 10k to 30k for Growth, 30k+ for Enterprise. Zellor doesn't bill per session, but its page offers to tell you "which plan your volume actually lands in" based on traffic. If your store gets 20,000 sessions a month, expect to be pointed at Growth whatever your chat count.
That makes Zellor's billing closer to a per-conversation model than the per-session pricing some storefront tools use. My chatbot cost guide lays out how those models compare, and Rep AI pricing is a good example of the session-based alternative.
When does Starter cost the same as Growth?
At 1,000 chats a month, and sooner if you play a lot of video. This is the most useful thing to know about Zellor pricing, so here's the arithmetic.
Starter's $99 for 250 chats works out to $0.396 a chat. Every extra chat is $0.40. Growth's $399 for 1,000 chats is $0.399 a chat, and extra chats are also $0.40. The per-chat price is about 40 cents on every plan, so climbing from Starter to Growth doesn't buy you cheaper chats.
| Chats a month | Starter (light video) | Growth | Cheaper plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| 250 | $99 | $399 | Starter by $300 |
| 500 | $199 | $399 | Starter by $200 |
| 725 | $289 | $399 | Starter by $110 |
| 1,000 | $399 | $399 | Same |
| 2,000 | $799 | $799 | Same |
Video plays move the line. Starter includes 2,500 plays and Growth includes 10,000. A Starter store with 10,000 plays a month pays for 7,500 extra plays, which is $90 at $12 per 1,000 (I've prorated; if Zellor bills only in full blocks of 1,000, it's $96). Add that to the chat maths and Starter reaches $399 at about 775 chats, not 1,000.

So the plan choice isn't really about chat count. Below 775 to 1,000 chats, Starter is cheaper unless you need what only Growth includes. Above that, Growth costs the same or less and adds the integrations and a setup call, so there's no reason to stay on Starter.
What does the Gorgias handoff really cost?
At least $399 a month for Zellor, plus whatever you already pay Gorgias. The Gorgias and Klaviyo integrations start on Growth, so a store that found Zellor in the Gorgias marketplace for its handoff can't get it on Starter.
What you get for that is a well-built handoff. Per Zellor's Gorgias setup doc, you connect with OAuth in about two minutes, and when a shopper asks for a person, Zellor creates a Gorgias ticket with the full transcript and an AI summary. Your agent's reply streams back into the shopper's chat on your store.

The cost question is what that handoff doesn't include. The Gorgias listing describes Zellor as owning the storefront chat, with Gorgias as the human layer for escalations, and the setup doc says "Gorgias stays your support inbox." Tickets that start in Gorgias by email, SMS or social never pass through Zellor's AI. That follows good AI handoff practice, but it means your Gorgias bill and your team's hours don't shrink.
Here's a worked example for a store with 725 storefront chats a month, light video and a Gorgias Pro plan. Gorgias pricing lists Pro at $360 a month on monthly billing with 2,000 tickets.

The handoff turns a $289 Zellor bill into $399, and the support stack into $759 a month before anything answers the inbox. That's fine if pre-purchase questions are the problem you're paying to solve. It's the wrong spend if the problem is volume in Gorgias.
And on most Shopify stores, the volume is in Gorgias. On eesel's sales calls, a DTC supplements brand on Gorgias and Shopify described about 7,000 tickets a month against roughly 30,000 orders, a 25-30% ticket-to-order ratio, peaking from November to May. Those are order tracking, subscription and returns tickets that grow with every sale, and they sit on the other side of Zellor's handoff.
Zellor pricing calculator
Type in your monthly chats and video plays, set your traffic, and tick the integrations if you need them. It uses the list prices on Zellor's pricing page.
At the defaults (600 chats, 4,000 video plays, under 10k sessions), Starter comes to $257 and Growth to $399. Tick the Gorgias box and the answer flips to Growth no matter how few chats you have. That's the whole pricing decision in one checkbox.
Why does the Gorgias listing show different plan names?
Because it's out of date with Zellor's own page. The Gorgias App Store listing says Zellor offers "Professional, Business, and Elite tiers" and asks you to contact Zellor for current pricing.

Zellor's pricing page and the Shopify listing both show Free, Starter, Growth and Enterprise with public prices. I've used Zellor's page throughout, since a vendor's own pricing page is the one it has to honour. If a sales rep quotes you a "Business" tier, ask which of the current plans it maps to.
Is annual billing worth it?
Annual billing saves 15%. On the list prices, Starter drops from $99 to about $84 a month, and Growth from $399 to about $339, which is roughly $178 and $718 saved a year.
Two things to weigh before committing. First, the page doesn't say the discount applies to overage, so a store running well past its included chats saves less than 15% of its real bill. Second, you'd be locking in a plan based on volumes you haven't measured yet. I'd use the 30-day free trial, read the chat and video counts from your first month, and only then decide between monthly and annual. If you're on the fence between plans, the crossover maths above matters more than the discount.
How does Zellor pricing compare with alternatives?
Mid-pack for chats, expensive once you need a helpdesk handoff. Here's what 500 AI chats a month costs across the tools I covered in my Zellor alternatives post, on each vendor's own pricing page, billed monthly, for a store under 10,000 sessions.
| Tool | Billing unit | Cost at 500 AI chats | Free option | Hands off to Gorgias? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zellor Starter | Chats plus video plays | $199 | 50 chats a month | No |
| Zellor Growth | Chats plus video plays | $399 | Same | Yes |
| Dialog | Monthly unique visitors | $399 (Standard) | 200 conversations a month | None listed |
| Rep AI | Website sessions | $104 (Sales, 10K sessions) | Trial | Yes, plus Zendesk |
| Tidio Lyro | Lyro conversations | $350 | 50 Lyro chats once | Own inbox |
| Gorgias AI Agent | Automated interactions | $450 on top of a helpdesk plan | Trial | Same inbox |
| Shopify Inbox | Free | $0 | Free | Own inbox |
| eesel | Credits, 1 per chat or ticket | $299 | 100 credits | Works inside Gorgias |
Three things stand out:
- Zellor charges for what makes it different. The second meter, video plays, is the cost of answering with clips instead of text. No other tool here bills for video, because none of them answer with it.
- Session-billed tools flip the maths. Rep AI charges by traffic, so a store with chatty visitors pays less there. A quiet, high-traffic store pays more.
- Gorgias's own AI is the closest substitute for the handoff cost. Gorgias bills $0.90 per automated interaction on Basic and Pro, per its pricing page, and my Gorgias AI Agent pricing guide breaks that down. Its AI shopping assistant covers part of what Zellor does, in text, inside the helpdesk you already pay for.
For a wider view, my Tidio pricing and Gorgias pricing for Shopify breakdowns go deeper on the two biggest names here.
Which Zellor plan should you pick?
Start from the integration question, not chat volume. If you need Gorgias or Klaviyo, you're on Growth. If your store gets more than 10,000 sessions a month, Zellor's own bands point you to Growth too. Otherwise, Free covers up to 50 chats, and Starter is the cheaper plan until roughly 775 to 1,000 chats.

My picks by buyer:
- A beauty brand testing whether video answers sell. Start on Free, then the Starter trial. Measure add-to-carts from chats before paying for integrations.
- A brand on Gorgias that wants handoff and Klaviyo audiences. Growth, and budget it as $399 plus your Gorgias plan, not $399 instead of anything.
- A brand doing 30,000+ sessions with custom shade or hair matching. Enterprise is the only plan with custom guided shopping, so it's a sales call.
- A brand whose real pain is post-purchase tickets. None of them. Pre-purchase AI for product questions won't shorten your queue; look at AI that works inside Gorgias instead.
What do you get for the money?
The vendor's own proof is a single detailed case study. Zellor's TanOrganic story says Zellor drives 11% of TanOrganic's online sales, with cart-to-checkout at 37.6% for Zellor-engaged shoppers against 25.8%, and a 16% higher average order value. It went live in under 48 hours. That result comes from PDP Shoppable Video on existing Instagram and TikTok clips, so it's evidence for the video side, not the Gorgias handoff.
Public reviews are thin: two on the Shopify reviews page, both five stars. TanOrganic's is the fuller one:
"We’ve been using Zellor for about four months now, and honestly, it’s been really solid. The shoppable videos have helped drive sales and made the website experience more engaging for our customers."
For a $99 to $399 tool, the value test is simple: divide the monthly bill by the extra orders the chats and videos produce. At about 40 cents a chat, you need a small share of chats to turn into orders you wouldn't otherwise have got. Run the 30-day trial and measure that on your own store, since vendor figures like TanOrganic's are a ceiling to test, not a forecast. My guide to conversational commerce covers how to measure it.
Where does eesel fit in the budget?
On the Gorgias side of the handoff, priced per ticket instead of per storefront chat. eesel is an AI teammate for your helpdesk: it connects to Gorgias and Shopify, learns from your past tickets, macros and help center, and answers email, chat and social tickets in the queue you already run.

The eesel pricing page uses fixed credit plans: 100 free credits to try everything, then $299 a month for 500 credits, $499 for 1,000, up to $1,749 for 5,000. A ticket is one credit however many replies it takes, including order lookups. If you run out, agents pause unless you turn on overage at $0.80 a credit with a cap you set.
The closest match to a Zellor buyer is Question Beauty, a vegan colour cosmetics brand on Gorgias and Shopify. In one month eesel handled about 990 Gorgias tickets, sent about 960 replies, looked up about 290 Shopify orders before answering delivery questions, and closed about 280 tickets without a person, replying in the language the customer wrote in. A store with that volume fits the 1,000-credit plan. If you'd rather approve every reply, STIL Classics runs eesel in draft mode on Gorgias: about 320 tickets prepared in a month, each with the Shopify order already checked.
Put the two side by side and the budgets don't overlap. Zellor's $399 Growth plan sells on the product page; eesel's credits answer the WISMO, returns and refund tickets that land in Gorgias afterwards. You can also test it before launch by running it against your past Gorgias tickets, so you see the answer quality before any credits go to live customers.
Try eesel on your Gorgias tickets
If you're pricing Zellor because your Gorgias queue is busy, price the queue first. eesel joins Gorgias like a new teammate, checks the Shopify order before it replies, and hands refunds and complaints to your team with a note, the way it does for Question Beauty on hundreds of tickets a month.
Try eesel free with 100 credits, connect Gorgias, and read its drafts on your real tickets before you pay. If you also want AI on the storefront, eesel's chat bubble answers from your catalogue and help center, though without shoppable video.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Zellor cost per month?
Per Zellor's pricing page, Free is $0 for 50 chats and 500 video plays, Starter is $99 for 250 chats and 2,500 plays, Growth is $399 for 1,000 chats and 10,000 plays, and Enterprise is custom. Extra chats cost $0.40 on both paid plans. My Zellor review covers what each plan does.
Is Zellor free?
Yes, there's a free plan for any store size with 50 chats and 500 video plays a month. There's no overage on Free, so Zellor stops at the limit until you upgrade. Paid plans add a 30-day free trial, one per store. My Shopify chatbot apps roundup lists other free options.
Which Zellor plan includes the Gorgias integration?
Growth at $399 a month, and Enterprise. Starter doesn't include the Klaviyo or Gorgias integrations, so a store that wants shopper chats handed to Gorgias starts at $399. That handoff covers the storefront chat only; tickets that start in Gorgias still need AI for Gorgias of their own.
What does Zellor charge for extra chats and video plays?
$0.40 per extra chat on Starter and Growth. Extra video plays cost $12 per 1,000 on Starter and $10 per 1,000 on Growth. Because the extra-chat rate matches Starter's own per-chat price, Zellor pricing puts Starter and Growth at the same $399 once you reach 1,000 chats. My chatbot cost guide compares other billing units.
Is Zellor cheaper on annual billing?
Annual billing saves 15%. On the list prices that works out to about $84 a month for Starter and about $339 for Growth. The page doesn't say whether the discount applies to overage, so I'd assume it covers the plan fee only. See AI customer service cost for how that compares.
Why does the Gorgias listing show different Zellor plan names?
The Gorgias App Store listing mentions Professional, Business and Elite tiers and says to contact Zellor for pricing. Zellor's own pricing page and its Shopify listing show Free, Starter, Growth and Enterprise with public prices, so treat Zellor's page as current.
Is Zellor worth the price for a Shopify beauty brand?
If your shoppers stall on shade, skin type or routine questions and you already have tutorial videos, about $0.40 a chat is reasonable, and Zellor's own TanOrganic case study reports it drives 11% of that brand's online sales. If most of your cost is order and returns tickets in Gorgias, it won't touch those. Compare the Zellor alternatives or eesel for Gorgias.
