How much does Rep AI cost in 2026?
I build AI agents at eesel, so when I read a pricing page I look for the meter before the price. Rep AI's meter is unusual for a chat tool: it counts shopper sessions on your website, the same number your analytics show, and every plan is sized by it. You pick an agent (Sales, Support, or both as Concierge), then a session tier.

Here's every published tier, checked on October 22, 2026. The yearly column is the per-month price when you pay for the year.
| Monthly sessions | AI Sales (monthly / yearly) | AI Support (monthly / yearly) | AI Concierge (monthly / yearly) | Product catalog limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3K | $12 / $10 | Not offered | Not offered | 500 |
| 10K | $104 / $83 | $49 / $39 | $130 / $105 | 500 |
| 25K | $209 / $167 | $79 / $99 | $263 / $210 | 1,000 |
| 50K | $368 / $294 | $149 / $119 | $462 / $370 | 5,000 |
| 80K | $578 / $462 | $250 / $200 | $726 / $581 | 10,000 |
| 125K | $809 / $647 | $350 / $280 | $1,018 / $814 | 20,000 |
| 180K | $1,040 / $832 | $450 / $360 | $1,309 / $1,047 | 50,000 |
| 250K | $1,355 / $1,084 | $575 / $460 | $1,716 / $1,373 | 100,000 |
| 500K | $2,510 / $2,008 | $1,075 / $860 | $3,157 / $2,526 | 200,000 |
| Over 500K | Custom Enterprise quote | Custom | Custom | Custom |
The catalog limits come from the pricing page's compare table, which changes with the tier you select. A few things apply to every plan:
- A 14-day free trial, with no credit card, on all three agents.
- Onboarding differs by agent. Sales and Concierge get full onboarding, Support is self-serve. The compare table adds an assigned customer success manager on Concierge from the 80K tier up.
- A "5x ROI guarantee" is advertised across the site. The homepage describes it as a money-back promise if you don't see results, but I couldn't find written terms in the Rep AI help center, so ask for them in writing before you rely on it.
If you want the product side of all this, my Rep AI review covers how the agents work. This post sticks to the bill.
Why Rep AI charges by sessions, and what that means for you
A session is one shopper visit to your store. The help article on billing cycles says every plan includes a set number of shopper sessions per billing period, shown on the Billing page of your Rep console as usage out of your allowance.
That's a different unit from almost every other AI chat app. VanChat pricing meters AI replies, Tidio AI pricing meters conversations, and Gorgias charges per AI resolution. Rep's model has one real advantage: it doesn't punish you for a chatty bot. A shopper who asks ten questions costs the same as one who asks none. The flip side is that you pay for the visitors who never open the chat at all.
So the number that decides whether Rep is cheap or expensive for you is your chat rate: what share of sessions turn into a conversation. Two stores on the same $368 Sales tier at 50,000 sessions can have very different costs per chat. If 2% of sessions chat, that's 1,000 conversations at about 37 cents each. At 0.5%, it's 250 conversations at about $1.47 each. Neither is "right", but you should know which store you are before you sign.
Here's how the price per 1,000 sessions moves across the Sales tiers:

Two things jump out. First, extra sessions at $12 per 1,000 cost more than any tier's included rate, so overage is only sensible for a short spike. Second, the 10K tier is the most expensive per session of all, at $10.40 per 1,000, while the 3K tier is the cheapest at $4.00.
That makes the 3K tier plus overage look like a bargain on paper. At 8,000 sessions, 3K plus five blocks of extra sessions is $72, against $104 for the 10K tier. Before you try it, check what the small tier includes. On the Shopify App Store listing, the free Pay-as-you-Grow plan (100 visitors, then $12 per 1,000) covers up to 100 products with self-serve onboarding and chat support, while Starter adds custom branding, AI training and AI product recommendations. On the website, the 3K tier's catalog limit is listed as 500 products and "falls back to Starter".
Extra sessions and the $1,000 cap
If your traffic goes past your tier, Rep doesn't switch the agent off. It bills extra sessions in blocks of 1,000 at $12 a block, and overage is capped at $1,000 per billing period. The cap is shared: overage from the Omnichannel AI add-on counts toward the same $1,000.

The chart shows what staying on a small plan costs once traffic grows. A store on the 10K Sales tier that grows to 50,000 sessions pays $584 a month ($104 plus $480 of overage), while the 50K tier is $368. Upgrading is cheaper long before the cap kicks in. Here are the break-even points I worked out for the Sales tiers on monthly billing:
| Your monthly sessions | Cheapest Sales option at list price | Monthly cost at the top of the range |
|---|---|---|
| Up to about 18,000 | 10K tier plus extra sessions | $200 at 18,000 |
| About 18,000 to 25,000 | 25K tier | $209 |
| About 25,000 to 38,000 | 25K tier plus extra sessions | $365 at 38,000 |
| About 38,000 to 50,000 | 50K tier | $368 |
| About 50,000 to 67,000 | 50K tier plus extra sessions | $572 at 67,000 |
| About 67,000 to 80,000 | 80K tier | $578 |
I left the 3K tier out of this table because its product limit and features make it a different product for most stores. If your catalog fits and you're fine without AI training, run your own number in the calculator below.
Plan changes follow a clear rule, which I like. Sessions used on your old plan are settled against the old plan before the new one starts, and never re-priced or charged twice. If you're billed through Shopify, the billing period restarts on the day of the change and your session count starts again at zero. Shopify bills app charges every 30 days, so your Rep cycle is a rolling 30 days, not a calendar month.
Yearly plans work differently. The help article on annual plans says they save 20 to 25% and "account for your site's traffic over the entire subscription year", which helps a seasonal store avoid overage in a peak month. One merchant had a rough time at the end of an annual plan, though:
"paid for annual subscription - shut me off after 8 months and a certain number of views. I couldn't view billing history or anything in the app. One button was available "upgrade" for $500 per month. Good app but definitely not worth $550 per month for a basic LLM."
That's one review out of 122, and the store had used the app for nine months. My takeaway: on a yearly plan, ask Rep how the yearly session pool is counted and what happens when you reach it, then check your usage on the Billing page every month.
Sales, Support or Concierge: which plan do you need?
The three agents split the job down the middle. From the pricing page's compare table:
- AI Sales Agent covers the selling side: drop-off detection, proactive approach, product recommendations and search, upsells, out-of-stock recommendations and abandoned cart rescue. Support skills such as order status, returns, cancellations and address changes aren't included, but can be added.
- AI Support Agent covers order status, returns and exchanges, cancel or modify order, AI answering emails and edit subscriptions. The sales skills can be added.
- AI Concierge includes both agents, full onboarding, AI CX recommendations and priority support, plus the three Expert Zone add-ons.
If you want both agents, the bundle is the obvious buy. Rep's page at 80K sessions shows Concierge at $726 against a struck-through $828, the price of Sales plus Support:

The saving grows with your tier, from $23 a month at 10K sessions to $428 at 500K. If you'd pay for even one Expert Zone add-on on Sales or Support ($200 each), Concierge is cheaper than the single agent plus the add-on at every tier from 10K to 80K, because Concierge includes all three.
My rule of thumb: if your goal is conversion and AOV, start with Sales. If your goal is fewer "where is my order?" tickets and you don't care about proactive chat, Support is the cheapest Rep plan at every tier from 10K up. Pay for Concierge only when you'll use both halves.
The add-ons that sit outside the plan
This is where a Rep AI bill gets harder to predict. The plan covers website chat. Other channels, the helpdesk and a few premium features each have their own meter.

| Add-on | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Flow Studio Builder | +$200/month | Included on Concierge |
| Custom Support Policies | +$200/month | Included on Concierge |
| Product Finder Customization | +$200/month | Included on Concierge |
| AI for Email, Social and WhatsApp (beta) | $0.75 per AI-resolved conversation, listed "from $68/mo" | $1.20 per resolution past your package; 10,000+ conversations is custom pricing |
| AI Helpdesk / Rep Inbox (beta) | $20 per seat monthly, $16 on annual, plus a ticket tier | Paying Rep customers only; every console user is a seat |
| Deep Research | 10% of your Concierge price | $73 at the 80K tier |
| Virtual Try-On | 10% of your Concierge price | $73 at the 80K tier |
The Omnichannel add-on deserves a closer look, because it's the one most likely to grow. It answers on email, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and WhatsApp, priced per AI-resolved conversation:

According to the help article on Omnichannel overage, you aren't charged when the AI escalates to your team, when a teammate takes over or when it stays silent. That's a fair definition of a resolution. Past your package, each extra resolution is $1.20, new subscriptions have overage switched on by default, and when the shared $1,000 cap is reached, AI answering pauses until you upgrade or the cycle renews.
The Rep Inbox helpdesk has two meters of its own. Its billing article prices seats at $20 a month (or $16 on annual), counts both Admin and Agent roles, and asks for payment details up front for its 14-day trial. The pricing page adds ticket tiers: 50 tickets for $8, 300 for $45, 2,000 for $270 and 5,000 for $675, with extra tickets at $0.30 or $0.27. A five-person team on the 2,000-ticket tier would pay $370 a month for the inbox, on top of the chat plan.
Where Rep's own pages disagree
Rep publishes prices in three places, and they don't line up perfectly. None of these looks like a trap to me, more like pages updated at different times, but you should know which one you're reading.

| What | Homepage | Pricing page | Shopify App Store listing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lowest Sales price | "$99/mo, starting at" | $12 at 3K sessions, $104 at 10K | Free (100 visitors), then $104 Starter |
| Lowest Concierge price | "$118/mo, starting at" | $130 at 10K ($105 yearly) | Not listed |
| Lowest Support price | "$49/mo, starting at" | $49 at 10K | Not listed |
| Plans shown | Sales, Support, Concierge | Sales, Support, Concierge, 3K to 500K | Pay-as-you-Grow, Starter, Basic, Standard (Sales skills only) |
| Products at 10K sessions | Not stated | 500 | 1,000 (Starter) |
| Products at 25K / 50K | Not stated | 1,000 / 5,000 | 2,000 (Basic) / 5,000 (Standard) |
| Yearly discount | Not stated | About 20% | "Save 20%" ($995, $2,006, $3,528 a year) |
Two more details. On the pricing page, AI Support at 25K sessions shows a yearly price ($99 a month) higher than its monthly price ($79), which looks like a display error, so confirm it at checkout. And the Omnichannel card says it's "17% cheaper than Gorgias AI" while the compare table next to it says "25% cheaper", so I'd ignore both and compare against Gorgias AI pricing yourself.
My read: budget from the pricing page, buy through whichever page you install from, and screenshot the plan on the day you pick it. If you install from Shopify, the listing's product limits are the ones on your invoice.
Rep AI pricing calculator
Plug in your own traffic and catalog. The calculator picks the Rep tier that covers your sessions and products, adds any Expert Zone or Omnichannel costs, and tells you if a smaller tier plus extra sessions would be cheaper. Add your monthly chats and tickets to see the cost per conversation, and what eesel would charge for the same conversations.
Type your sessions, plan, catalog size and conversation count to see your Rep AI tier, monthly cost and cost per conversation, with eesel's price for the same volume.
To give you a feel without the calculator, here's what three typical stores would pay at monthly list price:
| Store | Sessions/month | Products | Plan | Rep AI cost/month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small store | 8,000 | 300 | AI Sales, 10K tier | $104 (or $72 on the 3K tier plus extra sessions) |
| Growing store, big catalog | 20,000 | 2,000 | AI Sales, 50K tier (catalog) | $368 |
| Same store, support only | 20,000 | 2,000 | AI Support, 50K tier (catalog) | $149 |
| Busy store | 120,000 | 8,000 | AI Concierge, 125K tier, plus 500 Omnichannel resolutions | $1,393 |
The second row is the one I'd point out. On traffic alone, that store fits the 25K tier at $209, but the pricing page caps the 25K tier at 1,000 products, so its 2,000-product catalog needs the 50K tier. Catalog size can push you up a tier before traffic does.
One of the clearest lessons I've seen on this came from an eesel trial. A Gorgias store ran 12 test chats, the agent handled them well, and then the owner opened the billing page and asked to cancel on the spot. Nothing about the agent had changed. The price just landed differently than expected. Since then I always tell people to price the real month, with real traffic and real channels, before the trial starts. With Rep, that means sessions, catalog, and every add-on you'll switch on.
Is Rep AI worth the price?
For a Shopify store with steady traffic that wants an AI to sell, often yes. Rep holds a 4.6 rating from 122 reviews on the Shopify App Store, and the reviews that mention price tend to say it paid for itself:
"Although I was initially hesitant about the app's high price, I decided to give it a try. To my surprise, I found that it more than made up for its cost during the trial period. It's like having an extra team member at your disposal, that's how useful it is."
Others weren't convinced, usually because the sale count didn't hold up when they checked it:
"Another negative point is the price. Depending on the size of your shop, it can become a significant monthly expense. After the trial period, the app counted one sale, but when I checked the details in my backend, it was doubtful that this single sale came through this app."
That second review is about revenue attribution, and it's the right lens for any traffic-priced tool. Rep's help article on its attribution model is stricter than most: a sale counts only if the shopper buys in the same session after chatting, and Rep's AI rereads the chat to judge whether it helped. Greeting-only chats, chats where the AI couldn't answer and chats handed to a human are filtered out.
Even so, I'd measure lift against a holdout group and track your own chatbot KPIs rather than trusting the dashboard alone. My chatbot ROI guide shows how to set that up.
Who I think gets the most out of Rep AI pricing:
- Stores with a high chat rate. If a meaningful share of visitors ask questions, a session price works out cheap per conversation.
- Stores that want the bot to sell. Upselling, product finding and cart rescue are the core of the Sales plan, not add-ons.
- Seasonal stores on yearly billing, since yearly plans pool traffic across the year.
And who might want to look elsewhere:
- High-traffic, low-question stores. You'll pay for every browser who never chats.
- Big catalogs on small traffic. The catalog limit can force a bigger tier.
- Teams whose work is the inbox. If most of your volume is email and social tickets, you're stacking Omnichannel, Rep Inbox seats and ticket tiers on top of a website plan. A helpdesk for ecommerce priced per ticket may be simpler.
If you're still weighing options, my Rep AI alternatives post and the Shopify chatbot roundup cover the field.
How Rep AI pricing compares with other Shopify AI apps
Every Shopify AI app picks a different billing unit, which is why sticker prices mislead. Here's how the units compare across tools I've priced recently:
| Tool | What you pay for | Where to read more |
|---|---|---|
| Rep AI | Website sessions, plus per-resolution and per-seat add-ons | This post |
| VanChat | AI replies, plus a products-learned cap | VanChat pricing |
| Zipchat | AI replies | Zipchat pricing |
| Chizy | Products learned, unlimited AI chats | Chizy pricing |
| BestChat | Chats per month by plan | BestChat pricing |
| Tidio | Billable conversations, plus Lyro AI | Tidio AI pricing |
| Gorgias | Helpdesk tickets plus per-resolution AI | Gorgias AI pricing |
| eesel | 1 credit per ticket or chat | eesel pricing |
A session model is cheapest when lots of your visitors chat. A per-conversation or per-ticket model is cheapest when traffic is high but questions are few, because a visitor who never writes in costs nothing. For the wider picture, my Shopify AI pricing guide and chatbot cost breakdown go further.
When eesel is the better fit
I'll be straight about the comparison. If you want an AI that sells on your storefront, with proactive pop-ups and product finding, Rep's Sales plan is built for that and eesel isn't. On the calculator's default store, Rep's Sales plan is cheaper than eesel too.
eesel is an AI helpdesk teammate. It joins the queue you already run in Gorgias, Zendesk, email or website chat, looks up the Shopify order before it answers, and hands refunds or complaints to a person with a note attached. Pricing is a fixed monthly size: 500 credits for $299, 1,000 for $499, up to 5,000 for $1,749. A ticket or chat is 1 credit however many replies it takes, and your traffic never touches the bill. You can start free with 100 credits, no card needed.
Question Beauty is a good picture of what that looks like on Shopify. It's a direct-to-consumer cosmetics brand on Gorgias, and most of its volume is short Messenger, email and chat messages, often just a product name and "price?", in many languages. Between August 8 and September 8, 2026, eesel handled about 990 Gorgias tickets, sent about 960 replies, looked up about 290 Shopify orders and closed about 280 tickets without a person. That's the kind of social and email volume Rep would bill through its Omnichannel add-on on top of a session plan.
STIL Classics, a planner and stationery brand, uses it in a human-in-the-loop setup: about 320 Gorgias tickets prepared a month, each with the Shopify order checked first and a draft reply left as an internal note for a person to send.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Rep AI cost per month?
Rep AI pricing depends on your monthly website sessions. On its pricing page, the AI Sales Agent costs $12 at 3,000 sessions, $104 at 10,000, $368 at 50,000 and $578 at 80,000. AI Support costs $49 to $1,075 and the AI Concierge bundle $130 to $3,157 across the tiers, with about 20% off on yearly billing. My Rep AI review covers what each plan does.
Is Rep AI free on Shopify?
Rep AI is free to install from the Shopify App Store. The free Pay-as-you-Grow plan includes 100 visitors a month and up to 100 products, then charges $12 per additional 1,000 visitors. Paid plans have a 14-day free trial. For other free options, see my Shopify chatbot apps list.
What counts as a session in Rep AI pricing?
A session is one shopper visit to your store, and every Rep AI plan includes a set number per billing period. You pay for sessions whether or not the visitor opens the chat, so your cost per conversation depends on how many visitors chat. That's a different billing unit from tools that charge per reply or per resolution.
What happens if I go over my Rep AI session limit?
Rep AI bills extra sessions in blocks of 1,000 at $12 a block, capped at $1,000 per billing period, and the cap is shared with Omnichannel overage. Because $12 per 1,000 is more than any tier's included rate, moving up a tier is usually cheaper if you go over every month. Use the calculator in this post, or compare with VanChat pricing, which bills per AI reply.
Is the Rep AI Concierge plan worth it over Sales or Support?
If you want both agents, yes. Concierge costs less than Sales plus Support at every tier, for example $726 against $828 at 80,000 sessions, and it includes the three Expert Zone add-ons that cost $200 each on the other plans. If you only need order tracking and returns, the Support plan is the cheapest option.
Does Rep AI charge extra for email, Instagram and WhatsApp?
Yes. The AI for Email, Social and WhatsApp add-on, in beta, costs $0.75 per AI-resolved conversation, listed from $68 a month, and $1.20 per resolution past your package. You aren't charged when the AI escalates or a teammate takes over. If most of your volume is social and email, read my guide to WhatsApp support for ecommerce too.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Rep AI pricing?
It depends on your traffic. Rep AI is good value when many visitors chat. If your traffic is high and your real cost is support tickets, eesel for Shopify charges 1 credit per ticket or chat regardless of traffic, from $299 a month for 500, with 100 free credits to test. My ecommerce helpdesk guide compares more options.
