Chat Aid costs $119 a month for 500 questions on its Team plan, $895 for 5,000 on Business and $3,695 for 25,000 on Enterprise, with unlimited seats on all three and overage at $10 per 100 extra questions, per Chat Aid's pricing page on 2026-10-27. The Gorgias app listing quotes lower numbers ($89 to $2,895 a month on annual billing) and a free Individual tier that the pricing page no longer shows.
The quirk worth knowing: overage at $0.10 a question is cheaper than every plan's included rate ($0.24 on Team). Team plus overage stays cheaper than Business until about 8,260 questions a month, so you upgrade for the Flagship model, daily retraining and more connectors, not for volume. Chat Aid also sits on top of your Gorgias plan, so a 2,000-ticket store is really paying around $579 a month for the pair.
Chat Aid answers your team's questions in Slack and Teams. If what you want is AI that works the Gorgias ticket itself, eesel's helpdesk teammate does that from $299 a month for 500 tickets, and STIL Classics uses it to prepare 320 Gorgias tickets a month with the Shopify order already checked.
Plug in your question volume, data size and Gorgias tickets to see which Chat Aid plan is cheapest and what the pair costs together.
What is Chat Aid, and why does a Gorgias store pay for it?
Chat Aid is an AI assistant, called Chai, that trains on your company's data and answers questions in Slack, Microsoft Teams, a Chrome extension, its web dashboard, embeddable chat widgets and an API, per the Chat Aid homepage. It connects to more than 60 tools, and one of them is Gorgias. Once connected, your team can ask Chai about tickets, customers and past answers without opening the Gorgias helpdesk.
I build integrations at eesel, including the code that reads Gorgias tickets, so the first thing I check on an app like this is where the AI actually acts. The Gorgias help doc for Chat Aid is clear: it gives users AI answers based on their Gorgias data inside Slack and Microsoft Teams, and no HTTP integration is created in Gorgias when you install it. Chat Aid's Gorgias integration page adds ticket search, task lookup and ticket creation.

So the buyer is usually a support or ops lead who wants the team to stop digging through old tickets, macros and docs to answer the same internal question. That shapes how you should read the price: you are paying for questions answered for your team, not for tickets resolved for your customers. If you are comparing it with other AI for Gorgias tools, that difference matters more than any line on the price sheet.

How much does Chat Aid cost per plan?
Chat Aid sells three paid plans on its own pricing page, each with unlimited seats. The price is set by how many questions you ask a month and how much data Chai trains on, never by headcount.

Here is the full table from Chat Aid's pricing breakdown, checked on 2026-10-27:
| Team | Business | Enterprise | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | $119/month | $895/month | $3,695/month |
| Users | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Questions | 500/month | 5,000/month | 25,000/month |
| Data trained | 5m words | 100m words | 2b words |
| Storage | 10 GB | 200 GB | 4 TB |
| AI model | Mini | Flagship | Flagship |
| Retraining | Weekly | Daily | Continuous |
| Premium connectors | +2 | +10 | Unlimited |
| Team management | User management | Data segregation | Advanced control |
| Chat widgets, API, actions | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Overage billing | Supported | Supported | Supported |
| Support | Essential (2-5 business days) | Standard (1 business day) | Priority (within hours) |
| Price per included question | $0.24 | $0.18 | $0.15 |
The last row is my arithmetic: plan price divided by included questions. Every plan carries a 30-day free trial with no credit card, per the pricing page FAQ.
What do the Gorgias listing and Chat Aid's own pages disagree on?
The Gorgias app store listing tells a different story from the pricing page. It describes four tiers: Individual free, Team at $89 a month annual or $111.25 monthly, Business at $699 annual or $875.75 monthly and Enterprise at $2,895 annual or $3,618.75 monthly.

Chat Aid's own pages split too. The homepage still says "4 pricing tiers beginning at free", and its Slack AI comparison page says the Individual plan "is currently free to use". The pricing page itself shows no free plan and no annual toggle, and every button says Contact Sales.
| Plan | Chat Aid pricing page | Gorgias listing, monthly | Gorgias listing, annual |
|---|---|---|---|
| Individual | Not listed | Free | Free |
| Team | $119 | $111.25 | $89 |
| Business | $895 | $875.75 | $699 |
| Enterprise | $3,695 | $3,618.75 | $2,895 |
My read: budget on the $119, $895 and $3,695 numbers, since the vendor's own pricing page is the one it updates. Then ask sales two things in writing: whether annual billing still exists at the listing's discount, and whether the free Individual plan is still open to new signups.
What exactly are you paying for?
Two meters drive the bill. The first is questions: each plan includes a monthly number, and the FAQ talks about your "monthly question limit". The pricing page does not say whether a follow-up in the same thread counts again, or whether an auto-answer in a Slack channel counts the same as someone typing into the dashboard. Test that during the trial by watching the counter, because it decides which plan you need.
The second meter is words trained. Every document, page and Gorgias ticket that Chai learns from counts toward the plan's word limit, and the dashboard shows usage per document. To size it, take a rough average: if a Gorgias ticket thread runs about 200 words (my assumption, check your own), Team's 5 million words covers roughly 25,000 tickets of history before your help center, macros and docs are added. A store with years of tickets in Gorgias can pass that faster than it expects.
There is a third limit that is easy to miss. In the Gorgias help doc's setup screenshots, Gorgias appears in Chat Aid as a Premium connector, marked Beta. Team includes 2 premium connectors, so Gorgias plus one more tool, say Shopify or your knowledge base, fills it.

How does Chat Aid's overage work?
Overage is pay-as-you-go and has to be switched on. Per the pricing FAQ, it costs $10 per 100 additional questions and $5 a month per 1 million additional words trained, billed at the end of each month.

That makes overage the cheapest question Chat Aid sells. Chat Aid's own FAQ leans into it: if you sit between tiers, it recommends staying on the lower plan and paying as you go. Run the numbers and the gap is wide:
- Team vs Business:
$119 + (questions - 500) x $0.10equals$895at about8,260questions a month. Below that, Team plus overage is cheaper. - Business vs Enterprise:
$895 + (questions - 5,000) x $0.10equals$3,695at33,000questions. Below that, Business plus overage is cheaper.
So you don't pick a Chat Aid plan by question volume. You pick it by what the cheaper plan can't do: Team runs the Mini model, retrains weekly, caps you at 2 premium connectors and 5 million words, and answers support tickets in 2-5 business days. If any of those block you, Business is the real floor at $895, however few questions you ask.
What hidden costs come with Chat Aid on Gorgias?
The sticker price is the smaller half of the bill for most stores. Here's what I'd add before signing.
1. Your Gorgias plan. Chat Aid reads Gorgias, it doesn't replace it. Gorgias bills by tickets, not seats, per Gorgias pricing on 2026-10-27:

| Gorgias plan | Helpdesk, monthly | Helpdesk, annual | Tickets included | Ticket overage | AI Agent per automated interaction | Helpdesk + AI Agent, monthly |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $10 | Monthly only | 50 | $0.40 per ticket | $1.00 | $40 (30 interactions) |
| Basic | $60 | $50 | 300 | $40 per 100 | $0.90 | $90 (30 interactions) |
| Pro | $360 | $300 | 2,000 | $36 per 100 | $0.90 | $550 (190 interactions) |
| Advanced | $900 | $750 | 5,000 | $36 per 100 | $0.85 | $1,430 (530 interactions) |
Starter includes 3 user seats and the other plans 500. Voice starts from $25 a month and SMS from $17 a month on annual pricing. My Gorgias pricing guide and the Gorgias AI Agent pricing breakdown go deeper on those numbers.
2. Retraining downtime. The Gorgias doc notes some downtime while a new data source processes, and again during each scheduled retrain. On Team that retrain is weekly, so a refund policy changed on Monday may not reach Chai's answers for days.
3. The free trial deadline. If you don't pick a paid plan within 30 days, Chat Aid says your account and data are deleted per its privacy policy. That's fine if you're testing, painful if you spent the month connecting tools.
4. Upgrading mid-month. An upgrade starts a new monthly term from that day, with a Stripe credit for unused time. It's fair, but your billing date moves.
5. A price you only see late. A US swimwear brand on Gorgias ran 12 successful test chats with eesel, then opened two cancel requests the moment it saw the billing page. Read the overage terms before the trial ends, not after.
Reddit's Gorgias crowd says the same about the helpdesk side:
"Gorgias is awesome if you're super deep into Shopify workflows... The downside is the price adds up quick once your volume grows."
What does Chat Aid really cost a Gorgias store? Three worked examples
To make this concrete, here are three store sizes on monthly billing, with Chat Aid priced from its own page and Gorgias from its own page. None of these include Gorgias AI Agent, Voice or SMS.

Small store: 300 tickets, 400 questions a month. Gorgias Basic at $60 plus Chat Aid Team at $119, with no overage. Total $179 a month, or $2,148 a year. If the Gorgias listing's annual Team price of $89 is still available, pairing it with Gorgias Basic annual at $50 drops this to $139.
Mid-size store: 2,000 tickets, 1,500 questions a month. Gorgias Pro at $360. Chat Aid Team at $119 plus 1,000 overage questions at $100 is $219. Total $579 a month. If the team needs the Flagship model or more than 2 premium connectors, Chat Aid jumps to Business at $895, and the pair costs $1,255.
Large store: 5,000 tickets, 6,000 questions, 120m words a month. Gorgias Advanced at $900. Chat Aid Business at $895, plus 1,000 overage questions at $100, plus 20 million extra words at $100. Chat Aid comes to $1,095, and the total is $1,995 a month. Without the extra data it's the $1,895 shown in the chart.
The pattern: on small stores Chat Aid is the bigger line, on large stores Gorgias is. The AI customer service cost of the pair grows with both tickets and internal questions, and they rise together during peaks like Black Friday.
Is Chat Aid worth the price for a Gorgias team?
For one job, yes. If your team keeps asking "what did we tell the last customer about this?" in Slack, Team at $119 with unlimited seats is cheap next to per-user tools. Slack AI pricing is per seat, and so are most enterprise search tools, like the ones in my Glean pricing breakdown. Chat Aid also lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR and CCPA on its Gorgias integration page, which helps if security review is your blocker.
Where I'd hesitate is when the real goal is fewer tickets or faster replies. Chat Aid answers your team. It doesn't draft the reply inside the Gorgias ticket, look up the Shopify order or close the conversation, so agents still copy answers from Slack into Gorgias. A CX lead at a DTC supplements brand on Gorgias put the bar for support AI to our team like this: "I need an AI who is only handling the tickets that it's confident to handle and all the other ones, leave them alone." That's a different product from an internal knowledge base assistant, and it's priced differently too. If you're weighing the two, my notes on AI copilots for support and internal answer search explain where each one pays off.
How does eesel price AI for Gorgias?
eesel hires out AI teammates, and the one that fits here is the helpdesk teammate. It connects through the Gorgias integration, learns from your past tickets, macros, help center and Shopify store, and then works inside the ticket: it can leave a draft as an internal note, reply on its own for the ticket types you allow, or tag and route.

Pricing is a fixed monthly batch of credits, per eesel pricing on 2026-10-27. A ticket or a chat is 1 credit however long it runs, and Slack questions use credits too:
| eesel plan | Price | Credits a month |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 100 credits to try, no card |
| Teammate | $299/month | 500 |
| Teammate | $499/month | 1,000 |
| Teammate | $849/month | 2,000 |
| Teammate | $1,749/month | 5,000 |
| Enterprise | Custom | More than 5,000, SSO, HIPAA |
Every plan has unlimited agents and seats. Overage is optional at $0.80 a credit with a monthly cap you set, and spam or tickets you tell the agent to skip don't count.
Per unit, Chat Aid is cheaper: $0.10 to $0.24 a question against $0.35 to $0.60 a ticket for eesel. But the unit is different. A Chat Aid question saves an agent a search; an eesel credit is a ticket prepared or answered inside Gorgias. Here's what that looks like on real Gorgias stores:
- STIL Classics runs eesel on Gorgias and Shopify. In a month it prepared 320 Gorgias tickets, looked up 230 Shopify orders and left 430 draft replies as internal notes for a person to check and send.
- Question Beauty lets eesel reply directly. In a month it handled 990 Gorgias tickets across Messenger, email and chat, sent 960 replies and closed 280 tickets without a person, with refunds and complaints going to the team.
- SaunaSpace connected Gorgias, Slack and its website, and drafted 180 replies in a month through the browser extension. The team can also call it with @eesel on a ticket or in Slack, so the Slack question Chat Aid answers and the Gorgias reply live in one tool.
eesel isn't the right pick for everything. If all you need is answers in Slack from a big pile of docs, Chat Aid's Team plan is cheaper, and eesel doesn't sell a phone agent for Gorgias Voice calls. My comparison of Gorgias AI Agent vs eesel covers the trade-offs against the built-in option.
Try eesel on your Gorgias tickets
If you're pricing Chat Aid because your Gorgias agents spend their day hunting for answers, I'd test the other half of the problem too. eesel plugs into Gorgias in a few minutes, trains on your past tickets and Shopify orders, and drafts replies right inside the ticket so nothing gets pasted across from Slack. The free plan gives you 100 credits with no card, enough to watch it work a few days of real tickets before you spend anything.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Chat Aid cost?
Chat Aid's pricing page lists Team at $119 a month for 500 questions, Business at $895 for 5,000 questions and Enterprise at $3,695 for 25,000 questions, all with unlimited seats. Extra questions cost $10 per 100. Since it is a Gorgias app, add your Gorgias pricing on top for the real total.
Is Chat Aid free?
Not on the current pricing page, which shows three paid plans and a 30-day free trial with no card. The Gorgias app listing and Chat Aid's own homepage still mention a free Individual tier, so ask Chat Aid before you plan around it. If you want a free way to test AI on real tickets, eesel's free plan includes 100 credits.
What counts as a question in Chat Aid pricing?
Chat Aid meters questions asked of its assistant, Chai, per month, plus the words of data it trains on. The pricing page does not publish a finer definition, such as whether a follow-up in the same thread counts again, so check that during the trial. My guide to AI customer service cost explains why the billable unit matters.
Why does Chat Aid's Gorgias app listing show different prices?
The Gorgias listing quotes Team at $89 a month annual or $111.25 monthly, Business at $699 or $875.75 and Enterprise at $2,895 or $3,618.75, plus a free Individual tier. Chat Aid's own pricing page shows $119, $895 and $3,695 a month. The vendor's own page is usually the current one, but confirm in writing. See my best AI for Gorgias roundup for other options.
Do I still pay for Gorgias if I use Chat Aid?
Yes. Chat Aid reads your Gorgias data, it does not replace the helpdesk. Gorgias helpdesk plans run from $10 a month for 50 tickets to $900 a month for 5,000 tickets on monthly billing, and my Gorgias plans comparison shows which tier fits your volume.
What does Chat Aid charge when I go over my plan?
Pay-as-you-go overage is $10 per 100 extra questions and $5 a month per 1 million extra words trained, billed at the end of the month. At $0.10 a question, overage is cheaper per question than any plan's included rate, which is why Chat Aid itself suggests staying on the lower plan when you sit between tiers. Gorgias has its own ticket limit overage on top.
Is there a cheaper Chat Aid alternative for Gorgias stores?
It depends on the job. For internal answers in Slack, Chat Aid's Team plan is hard to beat at $119. For AI that drafts or sends replies inside Gorgias tickets, eesel starts at $299 a month for 500 tickets and connects through its Gorgias integration. My list of Gorgias alternatives covers the helpdesk side.
